Armagh City Vineyard Church is a company limited by guarantee. It 15 8overned by its Memorandum
and Articles of Association and the liability of each member is limited to an amount not exceeding £1.
An application has been made to the Charity Commission of Northern Ireland.

The statement of financial actlvities which shows the results of the company is set out on page 10.
The reported surplus for the period is £79912021.. deficit £3,9031. The trustee5 continually review all
funding opportunities to maximise the incoming resources for the charitv.
Reserves Pollcy
The company's policy is to achieve a level of free reserves which matche5 the needs of the company
both at the current time and the foreseeable future. Free reserves are those unrestricted reserves
which are available for general use.
Public Beneflt
In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the year, the trustees have given careful
consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland's statutory 8uidance on public benefit
to ensure that the attivities have helped achieve the charity purpose and provide a benefit to the
beneficiaries.

The trustees are responsible for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable law
and regulations.
Company law requires the trustees as the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial
year. Under that law the trustees have elected to prepare the financial statements in accordance with
United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and
applicable lawl. Under charitable company law the trustees must not approve the financial
statements unless they are satisfied that they give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the
charity and of the net income or expenditure of the charity for that period. In preparing these financial
statements, the trustee5 are required to..
select Sultable accounting policie5 and then apply them consistently
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent,.
state whether the Charities SORP (effective January 20151 in accordance with FRS102 has been
followed,.
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to
presume that the charity will continue in operation.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which dlsclose with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and which enables them to ensure the
financial statements comply wlth the Companies Act 2006, and all Regulations to be construed as one
with th3t Act. They are also responsible for safeguardin8 the assets of the charity and hence for taking
reasonable steps for the prevention and detectlon of fraud and other irregularities.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINERS, REPORT
I report on the accounts for the year ended 31 August 2022 set out on pages 10 to 16.
Respective responsibilities of the trustees and examiner
The Charity's trustees (who are also the directors for the purposes of company lawl are responsible
for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the requirements of the Companies Act 2006.
The trustees consider that an audit is not required for this year under section 65121 of the Charities
Act INI) 2008 and that an independent examination is required. The charity is preparing accrual
accounts and l am qualified to undertake the examination by being a qualified member of The Institute
of Chartered Accountants in Ireland.
Havlng satisfied myself that the charity Is not subject to audit under company law and is eligible for
independent examination it is my responsibility to..
examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act
to follow the procedure5 laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission
for Northern Ireland under section 6519llbl of the Charities Act and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basls of the Independent examlnels report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland under section 6519llbl of the Charities Act. The examlnation
ncluded a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparlson of the accounts
presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disc105ures in
the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees concerning any such matters, The
procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required by an audit, and
consequently no opinion 1$ 8iven as to whether the accoLtnts present a 'true and fair vlew, and the
report is limited to those matters set out in the statements below.
My role is to state whether any materlal matters have come to my attention giving me cause to
believe:
l. That accounting records were not kept in accordance with Section 386 of the Companies Act
2006
2. That the accounts do not accord wlth these accounting records
3, That the accounts do not comply with the accounting requirements of section 396 of the
Companies Act 2006 and with the methods and principles of the Charities Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland.
4. That there is further information needed for a proper understandin8 of the accounts to be

I. ACCOUNTING POLICIES
Basls of preparation
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with
the Companies Art 2IX)6 and Part 8 of the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. The financial statements
have been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of
Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial
Rewrting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS1021 leffective l January 20151
(Charities SORP IFRS10211, the Companies Act 2006 and the Charities (Accounts and Reports) Regulations
(Northern Ireland) 2015.
Cash flow statement
The company has availed of the exemptlon in FRS102 from the requirement to produce a cash flow
statement because it is classified as a small company.
Golng Concern
The trustees consider that there are no material uncertainties about the charit¢s ability to continue
as a 8oin8 concern,
In¢omlng resources
All incoming resource5 are included in the Statement of Financial Activities when the charity Is le8ally
entitled to the income, the amount can be quantified with reasonable accuracy and there is
reasonable certainty of its ultimate receipt. Grant5 for actlvitles are reco8nised as income when the
related conditions for legal entitlement have been met. All other Income is accounted for on an
accruals basls.
Resour¢es expended
Expenditure is accounted for on an accruals basis and has been classified under headings that
aggregate all cost related to the cate80ry. Where costs cannot be directly attributed to particular
headin85 they have been allocated to activities on a basis consistent with the use of resources.
Taxation
The charity is considered to pass the tests set out in Paragraph I Schedule 6 of the Finance Act 2010
and therefore it meets the definition of a charitable company for UK corporation tax purposes.
Depreclatlon
Depreciation is provided on tangible fixed assets SO as to write off the cost or valuation, less any
estimated residual value, over their expected useful economic life as follows..
