The organisation's purpose is to advance amateur football. It specifically aims to create a secure environment where members can play football and to promote sport by promoting participation in activities; offering members appropriate competition, helping members raise their sporting standards, organising local games of football, and ensuring that all members of the community have an equal opportunity to participate successfully.
Although the club's activities impact the more prominent Tyrone and Fermanagh regions, the residents of the Fivemiletown area are the primary beneficiaries of this goal. The club focused on strengthening and ensuring that our governance structure remained appropriate throughout 2022-23.
The management of the club's financial status remained favourable thanks to the ongoing execution of our development plan, enhanced business sponsorship, and further successful grant applications.
To address the demands of our members, the club has continued to develop its plans for new sports facilities by developing a club identity as highlighted by its members.
The club has maintained its youth structure by preserving the number of volunteers to support all age group coaches from age u6 to u19's
The Club organised various fundraising activities throughout the year to help with continuing operating expenses and brace itself for costs associated with our anticipated new facility development. A street collection, a holiday competition, a club raffle, a club awards evening, and Last Man Standing were among these occasions.
To offer much-needed equipment, our club collaborated with other clubs in the area to complete an application for a partnership funding award. Through the successful application of grant funds, our club was able to support the provision of additional equipment, training, insurance, youth tournaments, venue hire, new seating and the completion of club development plans.
The trustees are satisfied that the club's finances are being managed and reported satisfactorily. The committee meetings, which are conducted monthly, provide regular updates. Minutes of these meetings are recorded and formally signed by the chair.
The Annual General Meetings are held following the Constitution's rules.
