OBJECTIVES
The object of our organisation as set out in our Constitution is:
-

-

-
The advancement of education, through formal, informal or recreational learning, including the advancement of arts, culture, heritage or science.
HOW WE HAVE CARRIED OUT OUR OBJECTIVES
The Marshall Centre continues to offer facilities to our local community for the benefit of all people, regardless of age and abilities i.e. young and older people.
We are open weekly for the Friends Club who are a Senior Citizens group that meet for a 3-course hot meal provided by our local primary school canteen. This is an opportunity for older people aged from 50+ to their 90's, to get together, socialise and develop friendships with all from the local community. The members enjoy meeting up with other group members and appreciate the chance to be together as most of them live in isolation and are no longer able to be independent. The local Easylink bus service bring many of the older people to the lunch club each Wednesday and this is greatly appreciated.
There was no harm or possibility of harm outweighed by our stated benefits. There were no private benefits flowing from our stated purposes.
Our charity adheres to its Constitution as its governing document.
There have been no new trustees appointed in the last year and all trustees are willing to remain trustees for the foreseeable future.
The trustees all declare that they have had regard to the Commission’s guidance on Public benefit and have reported on the activities above, which has furthered its purposes for the public benefit.
Approved by the trustees at our annual general meeting 22nd October 2025 and signed on their behalf by:
