REPORT OF THE BOARD OF TRUSTEES
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 JANUARY 2025
The directors, who are trustees under charity law, are pleased to present their annual directors, ￿pOrt
together with the financial statements of the charity for the year ended 31 January 2025 which are also
prepared to meet the requirements for a dir8Ctors' report and accounts for Companies Act purposes.
The financial statements comply with the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008, the Companies Act 2006,
the Memorandum and Articles of Association, and 'Accounting and Reportlng by Charities.. Statement of
Recommended Accounting Practice applicable to charities preparing thelr accounts in accordance with the
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS 102)" (as amended for
accounting periods commencing 1 January 2016).

Our alms and obJe¢tlves
Our charity's purposes are as set out in the objects clause contained in the company's Memorandum of
Association..
The promotion of any charitable purposes for the general benefit of the inhabltants of the Parfsh of Alla,
Londonderry in the county of Londonderry for which provision is not made from public rates and taxes as the
Trustees shall think fil.
How our charfty actlvltles dellver publlc benefit
The charity exists to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of Alla Parish without distinction of sex, sexual
orientation, race or political, rellgious or other opinions, by associating together the said inhabitants and the local
authorities, voluntary and religious organisations in a common effort to provlde facilities in the interests of scKial
Y￿lfare for recreation and leisure time occupation wth the object of improving the conditions of life for the said
inhabitants. The direct benefit which flows from th13 purpos8 includes improved social interaction for those
residents who would othepwise be confined to thelr houses and the promotion of good commuiiity d8velopment
activitie8 to advance citizenship In the local aroa.
By improving the area, It has the potentlal to improve health and mentsl well-being for resldents by empovMring
them to help themselves and their community.
Prlnclpal a¢tlvltlos
The principal activlty 18 that of a community group based in Alla, Co Londonderry. Various groups-senior citizens,
youth groups and volunteers benefit from activlties and events organlsed by the Trustees and local residents. A
bowling club is well attended. A Ladies Connect group meets regularly and attracts women of all ages and
provides a great opportunlty to build relationshlps and benefit from mutual support and encouragemenl.

The results for the period are set out In the attached financial statements on page 5.
The company showed an excess of expenditure over Income of £6,161 (2024- £1,370). The total funds of the
charity amounted to £3,250 at 31•1 January 2025 (2024 - £9,411).
The Trustees conslder the reserves retained by tha Charity as sufficient for the ongoing need3 of the charity.
A grant of £16,500 was received August 2025. This has been approved to facilitate a youth group, men's group,
ladies connect and the luncheon club.
Related partla8
None of the trustees receive remuneration or other benefit from thelr work with the charity. Any transaction
between a trustee and the charity must be disclosed to the full board of trustees In the same as any
contractual relationship with a related party.

Risk assessment
The Trustees are aware of the major risks to which the charity is exposed. Vthere appropriate, systems or procedures have
been 8Stablished to mitigate the risks which the charity faces. Internal control risks are minimised through the procedur88 foi
authorisation of all transactions and projects. Procedures are periodically reviewed to ensure that they continue to meet the
need8 ofthe Asso¢iation. Procedures are in place to ensure compliance with applicabl@12ws and rggu12tionÈ. ThoEa proooduroo
are reviewed periodically to ensure that they continue to meet the need8 of the charity.
Structurn governance and management
The organisation is a charitable company limited by guarantee incorporated on 28th January 2016. The Company was
established under 8 Memorandum of Association and 18 governed by its Articles of Association. Memberfs liability in the evenl
of the company belng wound up is limited to £10.

The charity trustees (who are also the directors of Alla Parish Community Group Llmlted for the purposes of company law) are
responsible for preparing the Annual Report and the flnancial statements in accordance with applicable law and United Kingdom
Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
Company law requires the charlty trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year. Under that law the trustees
have elect8d to prepare the financial statements in accordance viith United Klngdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice
(United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law) and with Accounting and Reportlng by Charlties.. Statement ol
