The playgroup is open Monday to Friday - 9.(K) to 12.(K) aThJ employs 5 qualified staff. It provides
a facility where the ¢hildren can learn in a safe aThl stimulating envirmment at their own pace. The
playgroup works to provide the pre-schiK)I cwriculumand is prO￿l to have been recognised by
Investors in People in the post and currently have been awarded aGold Category Award from
Curriculum And Planning S￿CIal￿t {C.A.P.S). In setting our objectives and planningour activities for
the year the trustees have given careful ¢onsiderdtion lo the Charity Comrnission forNorthemlreland's
guidance on public ￿nefit to ensure that the activities hav¢ hel￿d to achieve the chariry's purposes
and provide a benefit to the Etneficiaries.

As i result of Covid-19 Coronavirus restrictions. the S¢hool w&s instructed to ¢lose on 16th March
2020. The children were unable to return until Sepiember 2020. As the School is funded by
Departtnent of Edu{*tio￿ it was able to ￿￿tillue paying staff wage4 PAYE and Pensions &5
Department of Edu¢aiion kept supp(rting the Education SysteTn.

emails and were able ￿ provide remote learning for all children. They also engaged in training with
Zoom calls through Social Services, the Education A￿hOritIeS and C.A.P.S until reopening in
Sep￿Mber 2020.
It was a difficult year for the S¢hool &$ it was for everyone. but thankfully the CoM￿1ftee, Staff
and Parents supported eachother to get through tL

Management have considered & period of at least 12 months from the date of approval of these
financial statements as of their assessment of the approwiatene55 of the going conrern
a55umptioru and have con¢luded that the going concern basis is appropriate.
The effect of Covid-19 in 2020r21 h&s noi Created any doubt on the ability of the Company to
continue. Being a child(2re facility, the premises were instructed to close but the cornp8JJy is
supported by the Department of Education and has sufficient reserves to meet its financial obligations.

HMRC. The. company is also a registered charity with The Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under charity number 107697. The cotnwy was incoTtKJrnted on l (hh July 2019. The
company was established under a Memordndurn of Ass(Kiation which established the objects
Ènd y)wers of the comFany. and is goverr£d by its Articles of . Aswciation. The liability of
the members is. limited in thai every metnber of the company uThlertakes to contribuie and
amount not exceeding £1 in the event ofthecotnpony ￿]ng would up.
Recruitment and Appointment of Directors
The charity trustees are also directQTS of the company. There were no ¢hanges to the
Directors during the finon¢ial year.
Organisation Structure
The Board Consists of four Trustees who adrninister ihe playgroup and meet monthly. The Board
has aptx)inled a Playgroup Leader to Tnanage the day-t041ay 0￿rdtIOnS ofthe Playgroup. The
Playgrovp leader h&$ delegated authority, within ternis of delegated approval, for 0￿rational
tnatteTS including staff Supervisio￿ delivery of Playgroup activities budgetary management.
The Playgroup is affiliated to the C.A.P.S (￿ga￿lSatiOll and work5 very closely with their
ll)dependant EaAy Year5 Specialist to ensure that are up-t(thte with tx)iicy and prnthice
within ￿ sector. Stsff also undertake regular training.
