Friends of Knocknagin is a parent teacher association whith is govemed by our constitution agreed on 0411012016 (pre-set by PTA UK and the Charity Commission Nll and all the committee members- Kay Murray (chair), Lisa Martin & Conor O'Neill (joint vice chairl, Sinead Curran {secretaryl, Kathy McLemon & Louisa Kelly (joint treasurer), Sinead McGuckin, Edel McGuckin & Anne Murphy (joint communication officers) Including ordinary members Michael Mclver, David Miller. Lorraine McLaughlin, Rebecca Barr, Denise Kay, Angela Walls, Katrina Greer, Colleen Smith, Julie Kelly. We continue to have regard to the commission's public benefit requirement statutory guidance. During the past yearwe have been able to hold some of our annual fundraising activities however other events, such as the Christmas Big Breakfast, had to be cancelled due to ongoing covid outbreaks. As an alternative we simply held a raffle and arranged for a visit to the children from Santa, including a small gift. We did go ahead with the annual Easter Bingo event and the Summer Fair. Both events were very well supported, and it was delighrful to see things getting back to normal. One minor issue from the Fair was when hiring the gazebo from Mid Ulster Council they accident refunded us £100 rather then £50. This was rectified in July. The payments for the Fair continued into July and September. We continued to benefit from the Amazon Smile and Easy Fundraising income. We had successfully applied for some grants during the financial year. There was a Multi Sport Grant awarded in November 21. We also received a grant from Mid Ulster Council to part cover the Summer Fair.
We funded the annual leavers hoodies for the P7 pupils, with the hoodies from June 21 and June 22 coming out of thi5 current financial year. Other key outgoings included bank fees and the Parenkind Insurance. We also overseen the organising of a music programme for the pupils and the buying of additional books for the school library. One new initiative this year was using Justgiving as part of the Easter fundraiser, tsking into consideration that many people do not feel comfortable attending large gatherings but would 5ti11 like to make contributions. This was very successful. Closing balance of our accounts 3010912022 was £7,125.58.
