The trustees present their Trustees, Annual Report. combining the Directors, Report and Trustees, Report. and the
unaudrted financial statements for the financial year ended 31 January 2024.
The financial slalements are prepared in accordance with the Companies Act 2006, FRS 102 Yhe Financial
Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Iieland" and Accounting and Reporting by Charrties".
Statement of Recommended Practice applicable lo charities preparing their fi'nancial statements in accordance with
the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021.
The Trustees. Report contains the information required to be provided in the Trustees, Annual Report under the
Slalement of Recommended Practice ISORPI guidelines. The IFuslees of the charity are also charity trustees for the
purpose of charity law and under the charity's constitution are known as members of the board of trustees.
In this report the trustees of Mayfi'eld Village Community AssocAalion present a summary of tts purpose, govemance,
aciivilies. achievements and fInan￿S for the financial year 31 January 2024.
The charity is a registered charity and hence the report and results are presented in a fom which complies with the
requirements of the Companies Act 2006 and, although not obliged to comply with the Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland FRS 102. the organis81ion has implemented its
recommendations where relevant in these financial stalemenls.
Mission. Objectives and Stratsgy
Objectives
Mayfield Community Association exists lo promote civic participation, opportunf(ies for engagement and development
for the wider Mayfield Community lo improve the quality of life for all ils residents.
They aim lo relieve poverty, to advance education. provide yovlh serVi￿S and support, encourage good mentsl
health and signpost to relevant bodies They promote the preservation and protection of health for its residents
without distinction of gender, sexual orientation, disabililylabilily, race. political, reluious or other opinion.
structure, Governance and Management
Governance
Mayfield Village Community Association is a charitable company limited by guar8rilee. These financial slalements
reflect 115 charitable activities for the 12 month perio(J from 1st February 2023 10 31st January 2024. The Ch8rity has
also successfully registered with the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland number NIC107665. The company was
established under 8 Memorandum of Association which established the objects 8nd powers of the charitable company
and is governed under ils Articles of Association. In the event of the company being wounrl up each member may be
required to contribute an amount not exceeding £1.
The Charity is controlled by a committee. The committee meet on a bimonthly basis and make all deosions regaiding
the day-lo-clay management of the charity. New members of the Committee meet with all members of the Committee
znd are supplied w&th all key documentstion.
Under the requirements of the Memorandum and the Articles ol Association, the Trustees are elected lo serve until
the next Annual General Meeting al which they may, if willing lo act, be reappointed. If not reappointed. they shall
retain offie until the meetin9 appoints someone in their place. or il il does not do so, until the end of the meeting.
New Iruslees may be appointed rf recommended by the trustees or proposed by a member qualitying lo vole at the
annual general meeting.
Currently the Association is gtsverned by the committee members who are elected annually The A550cialion has no
paid staff , though the local management committee Set up by the developer does employ a part lime Community
development officer . who works alongside the committee
Committee Meetings continue to tske place were possible bi monthly in the Mayfield Village Hall AGM was held on

Baby Massag
Myp31 (Mayfpld youth positive activity Leaders) 3 weekly sessions funded youth project by National Lottery
Youth Drop in over 3 sessions from age 7 10 22 weekly with 120 members registered lo allend.
Youth and community trip and to Charity match in hollour of a yLhJth member who had passed away.
Hosted a Summer Scheme
And Community Sunday fun days in our local communal space that was very well attended and supported.

We held Easter and Halloween Community events., Christmas drop in for all residents and service users.

Communication
We communicate in a number of ways we have a notice board outside the hall, we have posters in the local shops
we have a very active Facebook page and do a number of door dropped letters to inform of all the we have going on

Public Benefit Statement
The public benefits that flow from Mayfield Village Community Association purpose are.'_
1. An enhanced quality of life and sense of well-being Ihvough engagement wrth and participation in aclNlties and
events that bring people of all ages together, leading lo improveinenls in physical and emotional well-being, quality of
life and a more stable and cohesive community.
2. Projects to encourage youth participation
3. Increased opportunities to engage in new 8Ctivilies regardless of -_
gender, sexual orientation. disabililylability, race, political. religious or other opinion., provision and use ol local
facilities for the social welfare, education, recrealiDn and18isure lime for the wider community.
4. Partnership working with communitylvoluntary groups and organisalions that also use the facilities, resLs11ing in a
more efficient and quality service delivery, an improved qualily of life and raised awareness of the needs of the wider
community.
5. The beneficiaries are the general public of all ages and locally-based community and voluntary organisations. No
private benefit arises from these purposes.
Flnancial Review
The results for the financial year are sel out on page and additional notes are provided showing income and
expenditure in greater detail. The ¢ompany's principal source ol funding are grants along with voluntsry donations.
Results and Dividends
Al the end of the financial year the charity has assets of £17,127 12023 - £17,793) and liabilities of £14,254 {2023
£14,254). The nel assets of the charity have decreased by £16661.
Plans for future periods
To secure future funding lo continue resourcing the Association.end community provision

The trustees have assessed the major risks lo which the charity is exposed. and in operation and finances ol the
Fund are satisfied that systems are in pla￿ to miligale any exposure lo those risks. Rrsks are considered on an
annual basis.
Reserves Policy
The company's policy is to maintsin a level of unrestricted funds excluding fixed assets Ilhe free reserves) at
approximately a level sufficient lo meet the average charitable expenditure and running costs for a period of
approximately 6 months.

for the financial year ended 31 January 2024
The trustees. who are also directors of Mayfield Village Community Association for the purposes of company law. are
responsibEe for preparing the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and regulations.
Company law requires the trustees as the directors to prepare financial statements for each finani>81 year. Under that
law the Iruslees have elected to prepare the financial slalements In accordance with United Kingdom Generally
Accepted Accounting Pr8clice (United Kingdom Accounting Slandar(Js and applicable lawl including FRS 102 The
Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland Section IA (Small Enliliesl. Under
company law the Iruslees must not approve the financial statements unless they are Satisfied that they give a Ifue and
fair view of the slate of affairs of the company and ol the profft or loss of the company for that period.
In preparing these financial statements, the Iruslees are required lo..

The trustees confirm that they have complied with the above requirements in preparing the financial statements.
The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting. records that are sufficient to show and explain the
charity's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy al any lirne the financial position of the Gharily and
anable them lo ensure that the financial slalemenls comply with. They are also responsible for safeguarding the
assets ol the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fiaud and other
irregularities.
