The charity is an Unincorporated Association established under a constitution.
Commission for Northern Ireland’s statutory public benefit guidance.
The purpose of this charity continues to be to advance the education of pupils in the school in particular by:

Developing e�ective relationships between the sta�, parents and others associated with the school.

Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.

Creating more community involvement and to reduce isolation for people of all ages, disability, gender, race and political/ religious belief, with our rural Sixmilecross and surrounding area(s).
The information below sets out the activities we have carried out to further our purposes and fulfil the public benefit elements during the last 12 months.
Activities
I can report that we have held a number of activities and events during the last year which were very well supported and enjoyed by the whole rural community.

Prizes for entrants were awarded on their performance and the evening concluded with a ra�le. A fantastic turnout was welcomed and the event received feedback for it to be repeated on an annual basis.

There also were refreshments served and a ra�le to conclude the night. Our assembly hall was filled to capacity, and everyone who attended gave positive feedback regarding the event.
In December the charity organized and helped supervise a Movie and Munch afternoon. Pupils had the opportunity to choose from 3 di�erent movies to watch whilst enjoying some tasty snacks. The charity was able to support the school by providing tea/co�ee refreshments for everyone at, both the matinee and evening performances of the Christmas play. We also were able to provide each child in school and Nursery with a selection box, issued by Santa who visited the school.

In March the charity hosted a highly successful social evening – ‘Hooley in Cooley’. This was the first event of its kind in the local community. A fun evening of dancing, games and activities was enjoyed by a range of all ages from the local community. Refreshments and a tuck shop were also available on the night.
In March we purchased additional reading resources to add to the existing accelerated reader program, within the school.

Finances
balance was £7,008.57 and had receipts of total expenditure of £17,546.17 with an income of £13,488.44 leaving, at the end of the financial year a closing balance of £2,950.84.
Grants received and expenditure incurred because of the grants accounted for a large proportion of our transactions this year. The timing of some of the grants being awarded and then funds received meant that the charity received money in the previous financial year, but purchased the associated items, in this financial year or vice versa.
The charity has been successful in gaining funding through a number of grants – Fermanagh & Omagh District Council, Slieve divena community fund, BJF foundation, Daera rural micro grant, Community Foundations and Omagh Forum for Rural Development.

These grants are crucial to the charity’s survival. The charity also carries out small scale fundraising to support these grants.
