benefit elements during the. last 12 months.
Activities
l am able to report that we have carried out a number of activtties and events duting this last year which
were well supported.and enjoyed by the whole rural community:
In May. the charity were able to support the school by covering the cost of transport for class to arid
from day trips to various locations. These day trips were very much weJGomed.by the ch!Idren who hadn't
been able to go on any such trips for the past few years due to the Covid 19 Pandemic.
In November, the charity held a Family Quiz Night which was well attended with a good Iiiixture of youhi g
and old at each table. There was a raffle and refreshments served on the"night. In December, the chqrity
helped organize and SUPErvise a Movie And Munch Night. Children were able to choosq from 3 different
films to watch whilst enjoying some tasty snacks. The charity also supported. the school 'n December
providing tea and refreshments for everyone at all of the Christmas.Performances and by providing each
child with a selection box at Christmas.
In January, the charity organised and ran a highly Su￿ssful Bums Night Celebration. kne school
assembly hall was filled to capacity and everyone present was ableto enjoy lots of trad"
nal music, song,
poetry and dan￿ before supper was served which included,'the famous haggis! This
the first event of
it's kind to be FEld in the area and feedback from right across the community was very ￿SItiVe.

Our activities do not lead to any hann. The only private benefit from our purposes is that a trustee or f
member may participate in the same manner as all other beneficiaries. this is purely incidental and
ne￿SSary so that the benefrt is available to all inhabitants of the area.

Finances
A review of the charities. financial position confinns a successful year. The charity's opening balan
£785.74 and had receipts of £12169.26 and payments of £5946.43 giving a closing balan￿ at the end
the financial year of £7008.57. Grants received and expenditure incurred as a result of the grants,
accounted for a large number of our transactions this year. The timing of some of the grants meant th
charity received the grant money in the previous financial year but purchased the items associated wit
this financial year or visa versa e.g. DAERA Rural Micro Grant and Developing Healthy Communities P

The Charity's finances are in surplus and accounts are prepared to comply with the requirements of th
Charity Commission for Northem Ireland.
The charity has been Su￿ssful in gaining funding through a number of grants- DAERA Rural Micro
musical instruments, Dalradian Gold Grant- sports equipment, Ulster Scots Funding - Burns Night
Celebration and Community
