Trustees Annual Report for Year Ended 1° April 2025
The Trustees present their report and accounts for North West Community First Responders for year ended 1% April 2025. Public Benefit Statement North West Community First Responders confirm that they have had due regard for the guidance on the Public Benefit by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland and are pleased to report that during the period, the group continued to provide the Public Benefit through the programmes and services on offer. In particular, the Trustees consider how planned activities will contribute to the aims and objectives they are set.
Public Benefit
The direct benefits that flow from our Purpose are to recruit, coordinate and equip local volunteers. Volunteers are trained and alerted by NI Ambulance Service to assess and provide an appropriate intervention to those with appropriate medical emergencies in their localities. North West Community First Responders carries out its purpose by providing resuscitation, care and Support to a casualty pending the arrival of an emergency ambulance which will be dispatched simultaneously with the first responders. The group averages 70 alerts per month, with an average response rate of 20% of alerts attended by responders.
Achievements and Performance
Following the creation of the group, North West Community First Responders continued to fundraise throughout period to 1° April 2025.
The total income for the period amounted to £1,336. The income entirely derived from donations and gifts.
£1,622 was invested in equipment and consumables directly related to activities such as Defibrillators and kits for responders when attending emergency calls.
£682.43 of general running costs of the group which included, uniform, insurance and onbank fees; allowingfor a total carried forward in reserve of £10,392.40 to be able to carry it’s charitable activities. The Trustees consider that North West Community First Responders is ina satisfactory position to continue to Carry on its charitable activities. This brings the charity up to date with it’s current obligations on reporting Steve Coyle
