Director's Report
The directors present their report and the financial statements for the year ended 31 December 2023.
Objectives and activities
Culmore Community Partnership delivers an accessible, free service to the people of CulmorG from our
community hub in Victoria Hall. We engage regularly and ¢tTectively with local people through newsletters,
surveys and our programmes and Se￿iceS to tap into their talents and to ensure that what we do is r¢l¢vant to
their needs. We engage with neighbouring areas to develop links that benefit local people socially and
economically and reduce isolation. We deliver programmes for youth and the elderly; coordinate the local
delivery of essential services; and promote local arts, culture and heritage to attract visitors and contribute to
social cohesion. Underpinning this work are our key values of commitment to community development;
honesty, integrity and transparency in how we work; respect for diversity and inclusivity; accessibility;
coinpliance; being proactive and innovative in our approach. and practicing regular and effective engagement
and communication.

Tlie organisation is a company with Cliaritable status. The entity was incorporated on 29 January 2018. The
company was established under Memorandum & Articles of Association which outlined the area of benefit
and the objects of the charitable organisation.

mitigating such risks.

Directors Responsibilities In Relation To The Fillancigl Statements
The Directors of Culmore Community Partnership Ltd for the purposes of company law are responsible for
preparing the Directors, Annual report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law and
United Kingdom Accounting Standards ( United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
Company law requires the directors to prepare financial statements for each financial year that give a true and
fair view of the state of tlie affairs of the cliarity at the end of the financial year and of its surplus or deficit for
the financial year. In doing so the directors are required to:
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistently;
observe methods and principles in tlie Cliarities SORP (FRS102);
make judgements and estimates tliat are reasonable and prudent.
state whether applicable UK Accounting Standards have been followed, subject to any material departures
disclosed and explained in the financial statements.
prepare the financial stateinents on tlie going concem basis unless it is inappropriate to P￿sume that the
charity will continue in business.
Tlie directors are responsible for maintaining proper accounting records which disc105e with reasonable
accuracy at any time the financial position of the charity and enables them to ensure that the financial
statements coinply witli the Companies Act 2006. The directors are also responsible for safeguarding the
assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
irregularities.
In so far as the dire¢tors are aware;
there is no relevant information of which the company's independent examiner is unaware, and
the directors have tak¢n all the steps that they ought to have taken to make themselves aware of any relevant
inforination and to establisli that tlie independent examiner is aware of that infom]ation.
A resolution will be proposed at the Annual General Meeting that McGroaty Mc Caffety & Company Ltd be
re-appointed as accountants for the charity for the ensuing year.
This report is prepared in accordance with the special provisions of part 15 of the Companies Act 2006
relating to small companies.

We report on the accounts of the company for the year ended 3 l December 2023, which are set out on pages 5
to 13.

As the charity directors you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the
requirements of tlie Companies Act 2006. Having satisfied ourselves that the charity is not subject to audit
under company law, and is eligible for independent examination, it is our responsibility to;
examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act 2008;
follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission for Nortliern
Ireland under section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act 2008.

Basls of Independent examlncr's roport
We have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and our examination
was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission for Nortliem
Ireland under Section 65(9)(b) of the Charities Act. The examination included a review of the accounting
records kept by the cliarity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included a
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as charity
directors concerning any such matters.
Our role is to state whether any material inatters have come to our attention giving us cause to believe..
that accounting records were not kept in accordance with section 386 of the Companies Act 2006.

As the charily's gross income exceeded £250,000 the examiner must be a member of a listed body. We can
confirni tliat we are qualified to undertak¢ the examination as we are registered as members of Chartered
Accountant Ireland whicli is one of the listed bodies.
We have completed our examination and have no concerns in respect of the matters listed above and, in
connection with following the directions of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, we have found no
matters that require drawing to your attention.

General information
The company is a private company limited by guarantee, registered in Northem Ireland. The address of
the registered office is Culmore Community Partnership Ltd, Culmore Community Hub Victoria Hall,
32-34 Culmore Point Road, Derry, BT48 8JW.
1.1. Statement of compliance
The principal accounting policies adopted in the preparation of the financial statements are set out
below and have remained unchanged from the previous year, and also have been consistently applied
within the same accounts.
The charity constitutes a public benefit entity as defined by FRS102. The financial statements have
been prepared in accordance with Accounting and Reporting by Charities: Statement of Recommended
Practice applicable to ¢liarities preparing their accounts in accordance with the Financial Reporting
Staiidard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland Charities SORP (FRSI 02), th¢ Companies Act
2006 and the Charities Act (Northern Ireland) 2008.
The financial statements are prepared on a going concern basis under the historical cost convention,
modified to included certain items at fair value. The financial statements are presented in sterling
which is th¢ functional currency ofthe charity.
1.2. Tanglble fixed assets and depreclatlo
Depreciation is provided at rates calculated to write off the cost or valuation less residual
value of eacli asset over its expected useful life, as follows:
