– Treasurers Report

Hello,

I’m going to run through the Little Folk Income and Expenditure accounts for the year Ended 31[st] August 2022.

Little Folk playgroup is a registered charity, and as such do not operate to maximise profit but to enable the children to have a fulfilling and secure environment in which to develop.

I will run through the following figures,

Total income for 2021/22 was £80,339

Our total expenditure was £76,993

And this resulted in a profit of £3,346

Income of (£80,339 ) is split into 4 main categories,

EA Funding £53,992 Snack/ Fees/trips / 3 YO Room £15,967 Fundraising £2,267 Grants/SHSCT Trust £8,113

The majority of the money received relates to Peag funding, fundraising this year included the Xmas Raffle £650, Christmas Jumper Day, Smarties Tubes, Green Day, Quiz night, Street Collection. Fundraising is an important part of running the preschool and providing the children with resources that enrich their experience, sub- committee that will organise regular fundraising events throughout the year. If anyone has any fundraising suggestions, we are always looking for new ideas.

The total expenditure for the year was £76,993

As you can see the major expense is staffing, followed by Maintenance, premises rent, resources and Consumables. We pay rent to the Lecture hall for the use of the playgroup and we also pay for the heating of the building during the year.

Other expenditure : This include resources (craft activities, books and small toys), Consumables (this covers the cost of snacks and Cutlery etc) Insurance from Lockton, admin, Stationery & Postage, refreshments, training, telephone and broadband, membership and subscriptions to early years.

School Trips

In the 2021/22 year the children went on a trip to Sleigh Bell Cottages to visit Santa.

Summary

This year we were able to get the 3 YO programme up and running again and run more fundraising events. Hopefully things stay this way and we can continue to make profit.

That concludes my report on the accounts for 2021/22.
