## _**Introduction**_ 

The North Belfast Play Forum is situated in the Waterworks Public Park on the Cavehill Road in North Belfast which is an area of multiple depravation. The site is based in the Waterworks ward. This area of disadvantage has many needs. According to the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency the Waterworks ward was the most deprived ward (Ranked 1) out of the 462 electoral wards in Northern Ireland. 

The North Belfast Play Forum is a small charity that uses sport/activity based sessions to engage young people and the wider area to participate in physical activities to enhance their well being and encourage community engagement.

(b) Individuals who shall be persons having special knowledge or experience; or representatives of a street or an area. © The power of admitting members of the Company shall be on the recommendation of the Executive Committee, but shall be exercised by the Executive committee in accordance with any regulations or directions made and subject to any restrictions or conditions imposed by the Company in general meeting. (d) Any member who shall fail to observe any of the regulations or bylaws of the Company, or whose conduct shall, in the opinion of the Executive Committee be excluded from the Company by a resolution duly approved by a majority of a least three – fourths of the Executive Committee present and voting at a special meeting of the Executive Committee , of which he shall have been given proper opportunity at attending and being heard in his defence , shall thereafter cease to be a member of the Company with a right to appeal to Company in light of new evidence , within 21 days. (e) A member may at any time withdraw from the Company by giving at least seven clear days notice to the Company. Membership shall not be transferable and shall cease on death.

|Summary of main<br>activities and<br>achievements<br>undertaken by the<br>North Belfast Play<br>Forum|1. Management of the Waterworks Sports Facility for Belfast<br>City Council through a Facility Management Agreement.<br>-<br>The facility has recovered from the pandemic.<br>2. PAL Project<br>-<br>The PAL project is a personal development programme<br>combined with an activity programme to enhance the<br>skills of young people in North Belfast. The PAL project<br>supported 20 young people into employment. 22 young<br>people achieved level 2 accredited training and delivered<br>250 hours activities to young peers.<br>3. Community Projects<br>-<br>Community projects this year included the 8 week long<br>summer programme delivered by the PAL project<br>participants. Delivering 120 hours of activities over the<br>summer. The weekend intervention programme ran<br>through the year also for young people at the weekends.<br>The project is designed to provide provisions for young<br>people at the weekend to help tackle anti-social<br>behaviour. Other activities that ran throughout the year<br>included after schools, ethnic minorities projects as well<br>as a vulnerable men project.<br>4. 20 young people into employment with support from NBPF<br>through young leaders project. A project aimed at young<br>females 16-22. Supportingthem into employment.|
