We had 12 girls, 3 leaders and 3 young leaders. We worked on several badges including Skills for my Future and Network. In October, we had our annual sausage sizzle over a campfire, the girls arrive dressed up and we sing campfire songs and enjoy hotdogs and s’mores.
In November, had a visit from Sorcha Eastwood, MLA, to help us earn our Parliament week badge. December saw Santa Claus come to our Christmas party and all the girls received a present and had their photo taken with Santa. We also had our annual promise service in Eglantine Church and all the girls were presented with their promise badge, certificate, neckie and woggle. This was followed by refreshments for the girls and their families.
In February we had a Ceilidh, to earn our Ulster Scots badge and raise money for the Brownies and Guides summer camp. The Alistair Scott band provided us with a great selection of dances and music which was followed by a fork supper. We had over 100 family and friends attend.
We also enjoyed a teddy’s bear picnic to Hillsborough Park.
