Sensory Kids Trustees Annual Report for the Year Ended 31 January 2023 The Trustees present their report and accounts for Sensory Kids for the year ended 31 January 2023. Public Benefit Statément The Trustees of Sensory Kids confirm that they have had due regard for the guidance on Public Benefit by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland and are pleased to report that during the period the group continued to provide the Public Benefits through the programmes and services on offer. In particular, the Trustees consider how planned activities will contribute to the aims and objectives they have set. Public Benefit The direct benefits which flow from our purpose include children and young people growing in self confidence and an improvement in their mental health and social skills. The participants will excel feel included in an organisation where they feel like they belong. The service willprovide training to teachers and professionals where we explain the benefits of sensory in their line of work. Sensory Kids carries out its purpose by treating all children and young people with mental and physical disabilities equal. We use our sensory group sessions and I:1 sensory training to improve the wellbeing of children and young people with the intention of teaching sensory integration dysfunction to children, young people, families and professionals. ,Achievements and Performance In the year to 31 January 2023, Sensory Kids continued to improve their services and reach more communities throughout Northern Ireland. More than 500 families attend the Sensory Hub on a weekly basis since moving to new premises. We wish to acknowledge funding in the year from local Borough Councils, Community Foundation Nl, Skipton BS, EANI, Black Santa, Developing Healthy Communities and Enkalon and from our parents. All funds were used to move larger premises to help support more children,young people and adults and to provide training to facilitators and the Committee. Sensory Kids is a non-profit making organisation. Total income for the year amounted to £66,853. Income derived from donations and gifts amounted to £4,495 and other income from grant bodies and charitable activities amounted to £62,358. Total expenditure for the year amounted to £61,595. The net income for the year amounted to £5,257 with net assets of £24,719 at 31 January 2023; represented by £19,546 of unrestricted funds and £5,172 restricted funds.
