Structure, Governance and Management Fermanagh Down
Syndrome Support Group is governed by its Constitution that
was adopted on 10/0912019
The trustees at the date of this report and those who served during the
financial year together with the dates of any changes are set out are listed

Objectives and Activities
Objectives
Fermanagh Down Syndrome Support Group trustees have considered Charity
Commission for Northern Ireland's general guidance on public benefit when
reviewing our objectives and in planning our future activities to ensure that
these achieve the association's purposes and provide a benefit to beneficiaries.
Key Activities in this Year
January 2024-Belfast Pantomime and meal was attended by Trustees,
those they care for and family members.
Met World Down Syndrome Day at Jonny Rocko's, soft play, bowling and
food.
Trustee and those they care for meet monthly within their own age
groups e.g. Early Days (sensory room), Primary Days (horse riding),
Secondary Days (pizza in town or bowling) and Adult Days {cinema in
town or bowling)
Summer bursary given to carers for those they care for to cover summer
activities.
Carers fund- spent on meal out at the Tap House.
Christmas Hamper f undraiser-Dec 23
Country Charity Dance- Feb 24
Annual Charity Cycle around the Lough raised awareness-April 24.
Cake Sale to raise funds-june 24.
Trustees and their family members, met for Summer Outing at Castle
Archdale and hired boats and had food afterwards.

Financial Review
Review of Business
Fermanagh Down Syndrome Support Group is non-profit making with net
income and resources in this year of £21,419.21 The trustees continue to
manage resources in an efficient and sustainable manner.
Reserves policy
Fermanagh Down Syndrome Support Group have a Reserves Policy, which
requires that reserves are built or maintained at a level which ensures that the
organisations core activities could continue during a period of unforeseen
difficulty and that the organisations known liabilities will be paid should the
organisation cease to trade.
Future Plans
Fermanagh Down Syndrome Support Group plan to continue to focus on
controlling costs, while maintaining the high standards of service to our
beneficiaries.
STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES, RESPONSIBILITIES
for the year ended 10/09/2024
The Trustees are responsible for preparing the financial statements in
accordance with applicable law and regulations.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which
disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the financial position of the
charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply
with all appropriate regulations. They are also responsible for safeguarding
the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable step5 for the
prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
In 50 far as the trustees are aware:
• there is no relevant information (information needed by the charity's
independent examiner in connection with preparing the independent
examiners report) of which the charity's independent examiner is
unaware, and • the trustees have taken all the steps that they ought to
have taken to make themselves aware of any relevant independent
examiner information and to establish that the charity's independent
examiner is aware of that information.
