## **TREASURER’S REPORT** 

1. Income and expenditure for the year ending 31 March 2024 is as shown on the statement of accounts provided in Appendix A. 

2. We maintain a Community Bank Account with Barclays in Castle Street, Belfast. 

3. Our main source of income is from membership subscriptions and PEG Funding. Membership subscriptions resumed April 2022, the membership fee is £10.00. 

The balance of this account at the year-end stands at £ 2222.20. 

The Cash balance is £348.21. 



4. The club paid for three members to study an Intermediate Beekeeping Course at CAFRE, but this was suspended due to Covid-19.  The candidates were meant to resume their studies in September 2022, but as yet this hasn’t been confirmed with CAFRE. 

5. No tee-shirt or baseball cap sales this financial year due to concentrated efforts to establish the new club house. 

6. There were no honey sales this year. 

7. Club Expenditure this year has been centered around building up the clubhouse. 

There is no ground/lease rental for the site. 

## **Membership** 

Current membership stands at 16 members. 

The renewal subscription for a full member is £10 per year. This includes UBKA Insurance. Membership subscriptions are due for renewal on 1[st] April. 

## **Capitation and Insurance** 

For a full registered member, the club will pay a capitation fee of £8.00 to the Ulster Beekeepers Association. 

A Capitation fee of £128.00 was paid to the Ulster Beekeepers Association in July.

## **Training** 

The club proposes to fund further training courses for interested members: 

## **Introduction to Beekeeping (Preliminary Level)** 

Cost is £145, which covers a registration fee, assessment fees and tuition **.**

## **Proficiency in Beekeeping (Intermediate level £200)** 

Cost £225 for each of two years, which covers a registration fee, assessment fees and tuition but excluding Unit 10 Practical Assessment fee.

## **Equipment** 

There is no toilet at the clubhouse and an Eco toilet shall be sourced, quotes to be obtained prior to purchase. 

The club still needs a new laptop, at the moment it isn’t a priority item
