Minutes of AGM and Committee Meetin

l. Briege welcomes the group and thanks all for attending. Gives background and context for
the AGM.
2. We discuss the importance of a involved parents committee and how it can benefit the
children and the group.
3. We elect new committee: Chair- AM McLaughlin
Treasurer- Joely Mccone along with J Trainor (present treasurer)
Secretary- Aideen McReynolds
All positions are proposed and seconded.
All other parents present are willing to be non-office bearing committee members- Mr
Biernacka, Anita Hendren, Shirley McKennel and K O'Neill.
4. We examine the Accounts for the year ending 30th June 2021.
They are passed. We acknowledge how crucial the Pathways funding is to our survival - it
pays most of our wages and training costs. This is form EA Early Years funds.
5. We have a fundraising update. This has been minimal over the last few covid-affected years
but we had a Halloween fundraiser and currently there is a summer Raffle with prizes
generously donated by many parents.
6. The possibility of the committee accessing funds from small grants to cover things such as
the revamp of the outdoor garden. Staff would like an awning at the rear of building.
Suggestions include the PSNI, Children in Need, Awards for All and Live Here/ Love Here
Pollinator Grant. EY give a booklet of funders.
7. Graduation Gowns are discussed
8. Children will get a report in May.
9. Staffing is briefly discussed- the possibility of a reduction and advertising one post
permanent as two staff were taken in previously on a temp basis. Advert to be posted in late
May, earlyjune.
10. Possibility of EA funding for overage playgroup places. Also there is the possibility of 16
afternoon places in the future.
11. All are thanked and nest meeting set for 15, June.
