The meeting commenced at 7:pm. Agnes McEldowney presented her report on this year’s activity. This included co-hosting the annual Christmas Party for local pensioners, enhancement work to Creeve community garden, engagement with Antrim and Newtownabbey council in relation to a number of issues including amenities at the Cranfield Heritage site and peace plus grants. The report was proposed and seconded.

The secretary presented her report to the effect that the Group has funds of £217.89. The accounts have been verified by Daly Park and Co Lurgan. The report was proposed and seconded.

The office holder vacated their positions and each were unanimously voted back into office ie Patrick McAteer as Chairperson, Agnes McEldowney Secretary and Brigid McKeague, treasurer.

There followed a discussion on activities for the incoming year. One longstanding project which we hope to commence is some maintenance works on Cranfield Termon Cross. We also hope to organize in cooperation with Kickhams GAC a couple of nights where young people can highlight their skills in traditional singing and instrumental music. Finally we are hoping that the site at Cranfield can be included in the Green Flag scheme in Antrim and Newtownabbey Council and we expect more engagement with the council as the Peace Plus scheme pushes ahead.
