Chairperson Report You are all every welcx)me to Annual General Meeting. As Chairper50n. I take this opportunity to thank the members for their support during the year, especially the committee members for helping organise different events, Thanks to George Haire, Tracy McLaughlin. The Village Together Kenny McFarfand for his help, ensuring we have the necessary documentation. any printed material required and supporting the Group throughout the year. We had very infonnative meetings. as we come back from the Covid-19 Pandemic, with people unsure about meeting in large numbers. making tt difficult to recruit volunteers. I'M please to report that the Group are continuing to get excellent feedback from local residents and business supporting our wort( during the Covid-19 Pandemic as we try to improve the village. In dosing. on behalf of the commtttee. I would like to thank Fox Lodge Cricket Club for their continuing use of facilities as a communtyhub for Ballymagorry village, local business and residents for their financial support throughout the year. S￿retary Report 2022 12023 100 Easter eggs were purchase for the children for Easter, with any not used given to senior citizens who live on their own around the village. Foyle Valley Wildlife 4Jive a talk on the vegetation along the roads arKI finishing with a visit the local River Glenmoman and talk on the life of insects that live in the water. Lovely lunch was provided by Ali's Steakhouse in the Fox L(xJge. The young people talk on growtng their own food and plants and were supplied with materials to ty for themselves. lunch was provided by Ali's Steakhouse. Walking group meets every Thursday moming. with increasing membership. Enjoy 4 number of trips around the area with tea coffee scone and outing to Castlerock with lunch provided by Bushtown Hotel. The Care Project is part of 5 Groups. B.B.D.G.. Leannount Park management leader, Dennett Interchange Glenelly Development Trust and Artigarvan Community Response, made an application to National Lottery Communty Fund for £455,000.00 which was successful. This allows classes to be held in each of 4 Sperrin ward for 4 years. The Group was involved in getting the Canal greenway constructed and continues to be a great success. The Group are part of a st￿ring group involved in the Riverine project with DCSDC. I￿ cream van toured around the village given out free I￿ creams to children and residents. The summer holidays 40 young children were taken to Gortin Outdoor Activty Centre for the day, with lunch provided and crips and drinks provided for retum joumey home. Late autumn 40 older children had a moming out to Oakfire Activity Centre, with lunch provide back at Fox Lodge Clubhouse. Thanks to Ali's Steakhouse for use of the outside uni( as Santa hut. 100 select boxes purchased for the Christmas Tree Lights switch on and Carol Servi￿. Christrnas Dinner was provided by Floyds Restaurant for 120 residents around the area. New Years Day Walk. large tumout of walkers. £1￿}0.00 was raised for Artigarvan Primary and Nursery School to purchase equipment for Callum and Lucy who have Downs Syndrome. It was with great sadness at our committee member Joe Melarky passed away 16th February, sadly missed by everyone in the community.
