The advancement of the Christian faith, according to the teaching of Scripture, understood in its historical and evangelical sense, the Doctrinal Statement and Baptist principles.

The Trustees have had regard to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland’s guidance on the provision of public benefit. They are confident that the Church fully satisfied this requirement throughout the financial year ending 30" April 2025 via its activities.
The Trustees acknowledge with deep appreciation the contributions of many members who freely give their time and talents to support the worship, witness, and operations of the Church.
No Trustees received payment for undertaking trustee duties.
Our Charity’s main activities to further our purpose for the public benefit are as follows:-
The Church met for worship every Sunday at 11.00 am and 6.30 pm. The Ordinance of the Lord’s Supper was observed after each morning service. Attendance at the morning service averaged 40, while attendance at the evening service averaged 29. The Sunday morning and evening services were also streamed live for the benefit of anyone who could not attend in person. A prayer meeting preceded every Sunday evening service.

e A Sunday School — ten children aged 4-12 were registered in the weekly meetings. They met in two classes from 11.20 am — 12.30 pm. The Go Teach materials were used for the lessons, as was the Baptist Youths’ Sunday School Project, “What a di-llama”. The children also finished memorising the books of the Old Testament and then memorised John 14:1-7.

e A weekly children’s meeting - The Good News Club (GNC) met on Wednesday nights, 6.30 — 7.30 pm. Thirty-five children of primary school age were enrolled. The CEF materials were used for the lessons — The life of Joseph, Elijah and Paul and Jesus as the Saviour. There were also choruses, memory verses, and quizzes, along with craft and fun nights. Following the GNC, we operated Football and Craft clubs until the end of June. Forty-two children, primary school age, participated with an average attendance of 31. Lessons from the “Biggest Bible Story Book by Kevin DeYoung were used to teach the children,

e A weekly prayer meeting and Bible Study — held each Tuesday night, 7.30 pm — 9.00 pm. Attendance averaged 15, with an age range of 15 -75+. The Bible studies focused on the books of Colossians and Philemon. One Tuesday each month was devoted exclusively to prayer for the work of the church, missions, Christians who are being persecuted worldwide, and the sick and needy in the village and further afield. Church members also joined the other Baptist churches in the Northwest forjoint[prayer] meetings on[four][ occasions.]

¢ A monthly women’s meeting — held on the third Thursday, 7.30 pm — 9.30 pm. Attendance averaged 12, with an age range of 24 — 76+. Nancy Guthrie’s book “Saints and Scoundrels” was studied, along with Courtney Reissig’s book “Psalms.” Some ladies attended the Baptist Women’s Conference online. Forty ladies attended an evangelistic Christmas swag-making event. The ladies supported the Samaritan’s Purse Shoebox Appeal and operated a school uniform recycling scheme.

¢ Youth Fellowship (YF) — held fortnightly on Saturday nights, 8.00 pm — 9.45 pm. In total, twelve young people aged 14-26 attended. Sometimes the meetings were held in the Compass Room, and on other occasions, in each other’s houses. The YF finished the book “Enjoying God” by Tim Chester and began reflecting on the teachings from the Sunday sermons. During the week of the Holiday Bible Club, they followed a ‘Finding’ programme — Identity, God’s Will, Hope and Forgiveness and enjoyed games and sports together. They joined youth in Tobermore Baptist for the Impact programme on 16" November 24. Members of the YF also participated in Baptist Youth activities, including the Baptist Youth launch night at Ballynahinch Baptist on 25th January, the BYE training day and the Summer Outreach Programme.

¢ Summer Holiday Bible Club - held during the afternoons of the first week of July. Forty-seven children of primary school age were enrolled, The CEF HBC teaching materials were used for the lessons, A parent night and prize distribution took place on the last night. Twenty-nine parents and friends attended. Ten young people also attended the evening youth events.

¢ Scripture Union - Scripture Union was held in Donemana Primary Schoo! for 5 weeks from April to May. The club ran for one hour and included games, snacks, a Bible story, a quiz, a memory verse, a craft, and singing. This year, 28 children were on the register, with approximately 23 attending each week. All ages were welcome from P1-P7. Children heard about the parables and stories from Luke’s gospel. The P7 children participated in the It’s Your Move lessons to encourage and equip them as they move to Secondary school.

The public is welcome to attend all our services and meetings.

The Church supported the Association of Baptist Churches by donating to the work of Ministry Support, Aided Churches Fund, Baptist College, RMS, Baptist Missions and Baptist Youth,
The Church nominated both elders and the pastor to attend the Baptist Association meetings held in May and November.
We continued to use WhatsApp to host general correspondence among members, including requests for prayer support and information from Baptist Missions, Baptist Youth, SGA, UFM, EMF, etc. Official church communications, such as our monthly Newsheet, as well as minutes and agendas of various church business meetings, were also conveyed via WhatsApp.
The following improvements/repairs were made to the building:

e Lighting in the Youth Hall has been upgraded.

¢ The skylight that was leaking over the ladies' toilets has been fixed. ¢ Anew heating boiler and temperature control system have been installed. e Water leaks in the kitchen repaired.
As a church, we rejoice in God's goodness, provision, guidance and care over the past year.
