FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 MARCH 2024
The trustees present their annual report and financial statements for the year ended 31 March 2024.
The financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the accounting policies set out in note 1 to the
financial statements and ￿mplY with the charity's Igoverning documentl, Ihe Companies Act 2006 and "Accounting
and Reporting by Charities.. Statement of Recommended Practice applicable to charities preparing their accounts in
accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (FRS
1021" {effectlve 1 January 2019).
Objectlves and adlvltles
The charity's objects are to promote the following purposes for the public benefit=
the relief of povety on the conlinenl of Africa and throughout the world.,
the relief of those in need by reason of youth. age, ill health, disability, financial hardship or other
disadvantage on the continent of Africa.,
the education of the general public in Northem Ireland regarding povety and the needs of Ihe pecple of the
continent of Africa- and
such other exclusively Charitable purpose according lo the Law of Northern Ireland as Ihe Directors may
from time to time decide.

The trustees have paid due regard to guidance issued by the Charity Commission in de¢iding what activlties the
charity should undertake.

The results for the year are set out on page 3.
The trustees, policy is to ensure that sufficient unrestricted reserves are available to cover core adminislralion, fund-
raising and support costs, without which the charity could not function, and to provide for known future
developments. liabilities and Un￿rtaInli@s. The level of reserves is reviewed on an ongoing basis.
Major risks
The trustees have assess6d the major risks to which the charity is exposed, and are satisfied that systems are in
place to mf(igate exposure to the major risks.
Structure, governance and management
The charity is a company limited by guarantee and was incorporated on 27 July 2017. There are 3 trustees and new
trustees can be appointed at a properly convened meeting in accordance with the charity's Articles of Association.
The trustees, who are also Ihe directors for the purpose of company law. and who served during the year and up to
the date of signature of the financial slalements werÈ'.

R8cruitment and appointment of trustees
None of the trustees has any beneficial interest in Ihe company. All of the trustees are members of the company and
guaranlee to contribute £1 in the event of a winding up.
