A summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements in the year

Unfortunately due to Covid our Unit was still not operating between 1 September 2021 and 31 August 2022.

The only significant event during that year was that the mobile classroom at St Macartan’s Primary School which we had used for our meetings since our inception in September 2005 was condemned as unfit for use by the Education Authority and was removed from the premises in November 2021.Thankfully we were able to store all the contents in the parish hall which is situated beside the school.

There was no harm flowing from the Charity Commission’s purposes and there was no private benefit.

A statement that the Trustees have had regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance

In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the year the trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland’s guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the charity’s purposes and provide a benefit to the beneficiaries.

A review of the Charity’s financial position at the end of the year

Receipts and Payments prepared and reviewed by our Independent Examiner.
