Objects and actlvltle8 of the charfty:
The purposes of the charity as set out in its governing document.
The Church acknowledges the headship of Je$u8 Chri8t over hi8 Church and exi8t8 to glorffii the
triune God by maintaining and promoting his worship both individually and corporately.
Its members devote themselves to the teachings of the Scripture, to fellowship, breaking of bread,
prayer, and evangelism.
They commit, with the help of God, to wrtness to the saving and sustaining power of the Lord Jesus
Chrlst and to work for the extension of His Klngdom.
The principal charitabla object of the church is the 8dv8ncerrpnt of the Chr16tlan falth accordlng to
the teachings of the Scripture. the Doctrinal Statement and Baptist principles.
The maln actlvit18s undertaken in relation to these purposes are as follows..
Holding regular servlces for publlc worshlp, prayer, Bible study, preaching and teaching for all age
group8, and providing pastoral care to the member8 of the church through vi8itation and prayer.
Organising meetings and events that promote our charitable purpose.
Participating in the life of the local communty.
Supporting other Chri8tian organisation8 and Gharitie8 through volunteering, financial gifts, and
prayer.

which allow you to focu8 In on a particular study or course for a Short period of time. These have
Sncluded book clubs, Precept's bible 8tudie8, courses to help Ilve out the Chrlstlan Ilfa, as well a8
80cial events and breakfast8.
Youth:
We Seek to provide a cycle of activities to help young people en¢ounter the big God of the Bible while
coming alongside them déaling with i88Ua8 they 8r8 confronting and drawing from our +Jwn life
experlence.
Chlldron:
There are a range of actlvltEes for chlldren aged 0 - 11 yearg In our Crèche. Chlldr8n'8 Meetlng and
Mum8 & Tots.
Communlty:
We are engaged in a variety of activitie6 to help live out God's love In our community..
We support Connect- which offers a place for the community of Dromara to come together regularly
offering light refreshments, an opportunity to chat and provide links into other seNices.
Mums & TotS-18 a place for parents and carers to bring their children and have a time of fellowship
while the kld8 play In a safe environment.
Fellowship Hour
provides an opportunity for senior members of the communty to meet for
fellowship, teaching and light refreshments.

The main achlev8ments and performance of the charity during the year..
The Church continued to hold regular services for public worship and organised events that promoted
fellowship amongst the members of the church and provided outreach opportunities with the wider
community (as detailed above).
The difference th8 charity's performance during the year has made to the beneficiaries of the charity
and to wider society.
The Church continued to provide benefrt to its members and the public by making known the Christian
gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ through the advancement of the Christian faith.
Structure. governance, and management of the charity..
The methods used to recruit and appoint new charity trustees -
In accordance with the constitution, the Church shall actively promote a Board of Trustees which
includes a range of skill, experience, and knowledge in keeping with the pursuance of its Objects.
Flnanclal rovlew..
The church is funded by voluntary grfts and donations, and we make use of both the Gift Aid and Gift
Aid Small Donations Scheme. The church does not seek funds from other sources.
Income for 2022-2023 increased by 10,3 % to £177,219, this includes an amount of £20,790 in respect
of Gift Aid Rebates. Expenditure wa8 26.9 % lower at £157,448 resulting in a surplus for the year of
£19,771. Uncleared payments as of the 3111 of January 2023 came to £3,451. Expenditure was greatly
reduced due to nonrecurring expenditure in the previous year including the reroofing project and
adjoining field purchase. however expenditure has increased from the years previous Covid as
expected.
The Church uses Restricted and Unrestricted Funds in its accounting policies. Restricted Funds are
used for money donated to the Church for specific purposes such as Missions, Youth Ministries etc.
Unrestricted Fundsfrom general offerings are used for all other purposes. Any shortfalls in the Restricted
Funds are made up by transfers from the Unrestricted Fund.
Reserves Pollcy..
A pollcy on reserves ha8 been reviewed and agreed by the Trustees. The income of the church 18 Stable,
and the risk of a sudden significant reduction of income is règarded as unlikely. In the event of an
unexpected financial need thè Trustees are confident that members would respond accordingly. The
Trustees are satisfied that a figure equating to approximately two months, expenditure is an appropriate
level of reserve balances at the present time. Cash balance'at year end exceeded the level of Reserves
required. These reserves will be kept in the unrestricted funds going forward, but if the need arises can
be transferred to restricted funds to cover any shortfalls or unforeseen needs.

The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts In accordance with the temis
of the Charities (Northern Ir81and) Act 2008, as amended and The Charities (Accounts and Reports)
Regulations (Northern Ireland> 2015
Charty law requires the Trustees, to prepare financial statement8 for each financial year which give a
true and falr vlew of the state of affairs of the charity as at the end ofthe financial yearand of the surplu8
or deficit of the charity. In preparing those financial statements the Trust88s are required to:
to prepare the accounts in accordance with United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accountlng
Practice (United Kingdom Accounting Standards and applicable law),
select suitable accounting policies and apply them consistentty.
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent.

The law requires that the trustee8 must not approve the accounts unle88 they are satlsfied that they give
a true and fair v￿W of the state of affairs of the charity and of the surplus or deficit of thè charity for the
year.
The Trustees are also responslble for maintaining adequat8 accountlng records whlch disclose wlth
reasonable accuracy at any time the financial posltion of the charity and which are sufflcient to show
and explain the charity'8 transactions and enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply
with regulation8 made under the Charities {Northern Ireland) Act 2008. as amended. They are a180
responsible for 88feguarding the a8Set8 of tha charity and hence for taking reasonable 8tep8 for th8
preventlon and detectlon of freud and other Irregularitles.
The Tru8tee8 are also responslble forthe contents of tha Trustees, report, and the Statutory responslblllty
of the IndeperKlent Examiner in relation to the Tru8iee8' report 18 limited to examining the report and
en8uring that, on the face of the report, there are no material inconsi8tencie8 With the figure8 di8cIo8ed
in the financial statements.
