Our Aims and Purposes:
To promote the benefit of the residents living in the Bawnmore Area without distinction of
sex, race, political or religious or other opinions and to provide facilities in the interests of
social welfare for health, recreation and leisure time activities, with the object of improving
conditions of life for the residents.
Summary of Charity's Main Activities and Achievements This Financial Year.
Summer Festival Funday 2022 in partnership with Greencastle Rovers providing a fun
family day for all with Inflatables, a BBQ, Football competitions and Pony Rides-
Benefit provided to families and young people.
Cultural day event August 2022 in collaboration with Arts Ekta held in Mill Green
Youth Centre- Provided a benefit to all our community and build inter-ethnic
relations.
Irish language classes in Partnership with Wolf tones- Benefit of promotin8 the Irish
Language to the resident5.
Life coaching sessions delivered Helen Mc Killen throughout the year- providing a
broad benefit through offerlng support on a wide range of Issues.
Christmas event 2022: Chrlstmas light switch on and family fun event, We also ran a
Christmas buffet and Bin80 With live entertainment for senior citizens- Provided a
benefit to all the communlty, particularly our older resldents.
Health Event alon8slde Action Cancer for breast screenlng March 2023- provlded a
benefit to all our female resldents,
We were a nomlnated for All Ireland Prlde of place Award by Antrlm &
Newtownabbey Councll whlch we were awarded runner up Sn the best Estate
Category.

Future:
The Bawnmore and District Residents Assoclation Intends to continue to offer services and
activities to the residents of our area In the upcomlng year. Some of the things we intend to
continue/ or8anise in the upcomin8 year include:
Continue to offer Life Coaching Sesslons.
Organise a summer scheme durlng the summer of 2023 for our youn8 people.
Organise Christmas festivities as done on an annual basis.
Organise a summer festival- alongside Clanmil Housing.
Continue to work with the North Belfast Food Bank to provide support for those in
need locally.
Review of Financlal Posltion:
As outlined in the Treasurers Report, the Bawnmore and District Residents, Association
continue5 to operate within a healthy financial state, with our accounts showin8 £15,966
currently in our bank account.
Through various public grants the Association was able to raise £18,540.
Our expenditure this year was £26,450.
We must acknowledge that our expenditure was higher than our Income, this has largely
been due to the current economlc climate, Increasin8 Costs, and grants unable to cover the
entire cost of the event.
Constitutlon:
The constitution was adopted 15/03/1995. The Constitution outlines that the Bawnmore
and District Residents, Association purposes are:
"To promote the benefit of the residents living in the Bawnmore Area without distinction of
sex. roce, politscal or religlous or other oplnions and to provide focilities in the interests of
social welforefor heolth, recreotion and leisure time activities, with the object of improving
conditions of lifefor the residents".

Future:
The Bawnmore and Distritt Residents Association intends to continue to offer services and
