Recruitment and appointment of new trustees
With each new yearly intake of pupils, any parent, guardian or carer of a pupil at Ashgrove Nursery School is automatically a member of the PTA. Committee membership relies on parents volunteering their services. Ashgrove Nursery School PTA membership is promoted at our Induction meeting for new parents, parent information meetings throughout the academic year, fundraising events and through School News Sheets. Committee posts are filled every year in
September at the first PTA General Meeting and new parents are actively encouraged to stand for election.
: Induction and training of new trustees
New committee members are inducted into the workings of the charity and its relationships to the school. Office bearers are provided with guidance and support from the previous incumbent and SMT.
Governance
We have reconstituted our Board of Governors last year and all members have been in post for at least one year.
Charity Purpose:
The purpose of this charity is to advance the education of pupils in the school by:
-
Developing effective relationships between the staff, parents and others associated with the school.
-
Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils
Summary of main events and activities to further the charity’s purposes:
With the current financial pressures on families, we decided not to take part in any fundraising over this financial period as a significant number of our parents are socially disadvantaged and in receipt of Universal Credit/Benefits.
As you can see from the statements provided, we have not generated any money through events however we have a number of bank charges.
If you require any further information, please let me know.
