Ballykeel 1 MovingForward Communlty Group Fortheyear ended 31 March 2024 Trustees Report Ballykeel 1 Moving Forward Community Group helps to improve the mental health and the environment of those living in the area. The projects ran bythe group enhance the community spirit and helpsto relieve the feeling of isolation felt by so many. The benefits can be demonstrated by the fOOtfallthat we have at our programmes and events. In setting our objectives and planning our activities for the yearthe trustees have given careful consideration to the Charity Commission NI'S guidance on public benefit to ensure thatthe activities have heed to achievethe charity's purposes and provide a benefitto the beneficiaries. We ran our annual 11" July Family Funday. We continued to keep our community garden and areas neat and tidywith our garden equipment. We ran our knitting club. Our community café was closed duringthe summer months due to the refurbishment of the community centre. The café started again in September 2023 and continues to be well attended. We ran Easter, Summer and Christmas events. We had our annual Christmas Dinner. We held a community Coronation Event. Duringthe yearwe secured fundingfrom Mid & East Antrim Council, The Community Foundation Grant, Raijius Housing and Northern Ireland Housing Executive totalling £42.917. we also raised £1,204.81 through fundraising. Our income for the yeartotalLed £44,121.81. We made payments in tot8Lto the value of £18,585.78 leaving us with a bank bance atthe year- end of £29,951.59. Page 3

Respectlve responsibilities of Trustees and Examiner As the charity's trustees you are responsible for the preparation of the accounts in accordance with the Charities Act (Nl) 2008. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act to follow the procedures laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under section 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act state whether particular matters have come to my attention Basis ot Independent Examiner's statement I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and an examination was carried out in accordance with the general directions given by the Charity Commission Nl under section 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act. The examination included a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seeking explanations from you as charity trustees concerning any such matters.
