The trustees present the annual report and annual statements of Reports and Payments and
Assets and Liabilities for Middletown Parish Community Hall for the year ended 31
December 2023.

Objectlves and Artlvlties:
To support and actively encourago eornmunity rolations 2nd cro£o bordor co112bor3tion.
To provide a venue with facilltles allowin8 a range of activitles/classes widely accessible to all
sections of the community, not only to the local resldents of Middletown. but also to
members of the surroundlng communlty Ilvlng on each slde of the border.
These objectlves were signiflcantly Impacted due tc the COVID-19 pandemic and related restr5ctlons.
As the main purpose of the charity Is to provlde a space for community to Come together. However,
when restrictions were eased the hall was cnce again hired out by members of the community to
enable communlty actlvltles.
Financial Review
The prlnclpal source of income of Middletown Parlsh Communlty Hall contlnues to be hlre of
the hall, whlch was 5igniffically impacted due to COVID-19 pandemic.
The prlncipal expenses of Mlddletown Parish Communlty Hall Is Insurance, accountin8 and
Banking f@@s.
Mlddletown Parish had total income of £1025 and total expendlture of £772 for a total net
Income of £253 for the year ended 31" December 2023. The Bank and Cash Balance was
£8,536 for the year ended.
It Is the trustees, pollcy to hold sufflclent reserves to cover emer8iencies.
Golng Concern
The tru5tee5 have revlewed the budgets for the year ahead and are satlsfled that there are
adequate funds in place to ensure that the Hall can contlnue its activities, and the financial
statement5 for the year ended 31st December 2023 can be si8ned off as a going concern.
Governance
Middletown Parish Community Hall continues under the governance of the organisations
constltution that wa5 provided to the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland.
Tho constitution outlines that the charity shall be managed by a committee of trustees who
are appointed at the Annual General Meeting IAGM) of the charity.

Statement of Trusteeg Responsibilities
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees, Report and the statements of
receipts and payments and statement of assets and liabilities in accordance with applicable
law and regulation5.
The law applicable to charities in Northern Ireland with Income of less than £250,000 require5
the trustees to prepare a statement of receipts and payments and a statement of assets and
liabilities for each financial year.
The trustees are responsible for keeping accounting records that are sufficient to show and
explain the Parish's transactions and disclose with reasonable accuracy at any tirne the assets
and liabilities of the Parish. They are also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Parish
and hence for taking reasonable 5tep5 for the prevention and detection of fraud and other
Irregularities.
