The Purpose of Loughgall Playgroup
The charity has given careful consideration to the Charity Commission guidance on public benefit to ensure that the activities entered into during the year have helped to achieve the charities objectives and activities, as well as providing public benefit'.

Summary of the Charity’s main activities to further its purposes for the public benefit and the main achievements / targets achieved in the year
We provide pre-school education for 26 children each year. We aim to equip each child that comes into our setting with the skills, attitudes and expectations for them to develop as confident individuals and successful learners. The playgroup, each year are awarded a number of funded places from the local education and library board and any remaining places are offered to the younger children in the wider locality. The children are encouraged in the six areas of learning through play e.g. language, early maths, art, the world around us, personal social and emotional and physical development and musical. Each morning session in the playgroup is three hours and includes a healthy snack buffet break.
Statement that the Trustees have had regard to the Commission’s Public Benefit requirement:
Loughgall Playgroup provides a pre-school provision for children of Loughgall and the surrounding area of Co Armagh. We benefit the village of Loughgall and surrounding area by giving their children the best possible start to their education and preparing them for primary school. We provide a safe and stimulating environment in which children from all backgrounds can acquire the skills and attitudes to become individuals and successful learners. We are a community service where parents from all backgrounds can become involved through fund-raising, joining the committee, courses, and trips, enabling isolated parents and new parents to meet others. We follow the values and principles of Early Years. The benefits can be demonstrated through our recent award of accredited status and our latest education inspection report where we received very good. There is no potential harm from the purposes of Loughgall playgroup. The beneficiaries are the preschool children in the Loughgall area. There is no private benefit flowing from the purposes of Loughgall playgroup.
