However, members must be either retired or semi-retired. This organisation is cross-community, non-settarian and non-political. It is also neutral as regards race and gender. BU3A aims to bring together those members of the population who are either retired or semi-retired (but particularly those in the upper age bracket) and to broaden their horizons and increase their skills base by means of education, enlightenment, discussion, participation, entertainment, and social gathering. We are satisfied that we are fully compliant with regard thereto and that the purposes of this organisation are entirely for the benefit of broad section of the general public. Furthermore, no individual member derived any personal benefit from this organisation other than from the stated purposes. BU3A as an organisation has suffered no ill efferts from Covid 19 and is fully operational once more. We are offering a full programme of talks, discussions and classes as well as entertainment to our members. The benefit flowing from this organisation's purposes are beneficial, not harmful and are entirely for the public benefit. This may be evidenced by the fact that despite the earlier difficulties faced by the organisation during the Covid pandemic, membership has continued to increase.
