Kingdom Pre-school Playgroup is njn by a voluntary commtttee. The ¢ommlttee consists of
people from the local community. many of whom have had children attend the playgroup in
previous years. The constitution of Kingdom Preschool Playgroup was drawn up in
accordance with the values of Early Years, the Organisation for Young Children. The
purposes of the chartty a5 Outlined in the constttution are-

Kingdom Preschool Playgroup provides playgroup activtties for up to 20 preschool children.
The dirert benefit which flows from this purpose is that children under statutory School age
will have the opportunity to avail of pre-school education lin accordance wrth CCEA 2018
CLgrricular Guidance for Pre-school Education). Young children will be able to experien￿ a
broad range of play actiwties which support their leaming and development, and health and
wellbeing. There is no harm arising from any of the purposes. The chartties beneficiaries are
preschool children O-S and their parents. There 15 no private benefit flowing from these
purposes.
This year. 20 preschool children were enrolled with the playgroup and benefrted from the
activities provbded following the preschool curricular guidance ICCEA 2018}. The playgroup
SUPPOrted children's learning and devekjpment making good use of Engage111 funding to
SUPPOrt childrens emotional development with 5UPPQrt from staff and mindful activities.
The Bedtime Read funding enabled the purchase of books to support parent and children
building shared reading time.

The play group was inspected En In October 2022 with a good outcome and in5perted by
social Services in March 2023 with comments about the good quality of provlslon. We
continue to be registered with Southern Health and Social Service5 Trust and The Education
Authority and have continued membership of Eady Years the Organisation for Young
Children. Kingdom playgroup follows 8uidance from these organisations in relation to
safeguarding children. education and learnin& and health and safety. Stsff undertook
seveial training workshops over the year.

The overall income forthe yearwas E 53. 179 and the expenditure was £ S3￿2. funding was
used tg SUPPOrtthe playgroup provision. and was used for generdl running costs, rtaffing costs, costs
of play equipment and materials, and snac& for children. The group re￿1ve￿ funding for 20 chIld￿n
from the Pre-school Expanslon Programme.
