Introduction
The Trustees of Coleraine Historical Society (NIC 107216) present their Annual Report and Financial Statements for the year ended 28 February 2024. Governance and Review
Following the AGM held in March 2023, a comprehensive review of the Society’s constitution and procedures and policies, was conducted. In Quarter 4 of 2023, the Code of Good Conduct was implemented. To support this governance review, a solicitor was engaged to provide legal guidance, and the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland (CCNI) was notified of the review’s progress.

Objectives and Public Benefit
The purposes of Coleraine Historical Society are to

To promote the study of, and public interest in, the history, antiquities, and folk-life of the Greater Coleraine area, and

To work for the preservation of built heritage, and presentation of
information and items of historical interest in the area.
All Trustees are committed to the Commission’s Public Benefit Requirement
and adhere to its Statutory Guidance.

Distribution of members’ newsletters.

Engagement through social media for promotion, discussions, and updates.

Publication and sale of the Society’s annual journal, The Bann Disc , locally
