Respecve responsibilies of charity trustees and examiner
As the charity’s trustees you are responsible for the preparaon of the accounts in accordance with the Charies Act (Northern Ireland) 2008. It is my responsibility to:
-
examine the accounts under secon 65 of the Charies Act
-
follow the procedures laid down in the general Direcons given by the Commission under secon 65(9)(b) of the Charies Act
-
state whether parcular maters have come to my atenon.
Basis of independent examiner’s report
I have examined your charity accounts as required under secon 65 of the Charies Act and my examinaon was carried out in accordance with the general Direcons given by the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland under secon 65(9)(b) of the Charies Act.
My examinaon included a review of the accounng records kept by the charity and a comparison of the accounts presented with those records. It also included consideraon of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanaons from you as charity trustees concerning any such maters.
My role is to state whether any material maters have come to my atenon giving me cause to believe:
-
That accounng records were not kept in accordance with secon 63 of the Charies Act
-
That the accounts do not accord with those accounng records
-
That the accounts do not comply with the accounng requirements of the Charies Act
-
That there is further informaon needed for a proper understanding of the accounts to be reached.
Independent examiner’s statement
I have completed my examinaon and have no concerns in respect of the maters (1) to (4) listed above and, in connecon with following the Direcons of the Charity Commission for Northern Ireland, I have found no maters that require drawing to your atenon.
