Cullybackey Senior Cltlzens Club Forthe year ended 31 March 2023 Trustees Report Cullybackey Senior Citizens Club was set up to benefrt the needs of the local, older population by provldlng social, recreatlonal and educatlonal advlce and support. Regular actwities include a range of mental and physlcal actlvltles Including talks, muslc and dance and social outings. Better confidence and Improved self-esteem results In Improved comrnunlcatlon whereby everyone beneffts. The beneficlarles of the organisation are the populatlon of Cullybackey and surroundlng areas aged 60 and over. In setting our objectives and plannlng our activities for the yearthe trustees have given careful con8ider8tion to the Charity Commission Nl's guidanc8 on public benefit to ensure that the activities have helped to achieve the charity's purpose and provide a beneflt to the benefici8ries. Durlngthe parlod 01104122~ 31103123 The group meets every other Tuesday between September and May. At each meeting we have visitlng speakers from v8rSous agencles/crafts/muslc and dance. Durlngthe yearwe went on two trips and enjoyed a mealto finish the day. We hold an annual Christmas Dinner in December. Dur5ngthe flnanci81 perlod we secured fundlngfrom MEA Councll and the Houslng Executlve totalling £1,522.73, we also collected club fees totalling £900 and held an auction which raised £150. During the year we made payments totalling £2,148.01. The bank balance at 31 March 2023 was £1,007.41. It is my responsibility to: examine the accounts under section 65 of the Charities Act to follow the procedure8 laid down in the general directions given by the Charity Commission under section 65 (9){b) of the Charities Act state whether particular matters have come to my attention Basls of Independent Examlner's statement I have examined your charity accounts as required under section 65 of the Charities Act and an examination was carried out in accordance with the general direction8 given by the Charity Commi88ion Nl under section 65 (9)(b) of the Charities Act.
