Objectives and activitles
The DavKJ Paul Cross Foundation confines itself lo making exclusively charitable donations through=
the award of bursarES and grants to corn munrty projecls, third party charitable organisations and
individuals which are directly tackling issues that are causing political conflict, promote youth
education, and reconciliation and resilien￿ in Northern Ireland- and
the award of grants and donations to third paty charities and research bodies in Northern Ireland
which are directly concerned wth raising awareness ol the early identification. trealment and
prevention of skin cancer for Ihe general public.
By providing linancial supporl the objective is that the Foundalion can help the local area to cope as
well as to adapt to stresses and strains such as long-term demographic change: slow economic growth
and POOT access to housing oi inlraslructure. and subsequently ensure more areas of public life are
interconnected. Also, the goal is lo help prevent skin cancer through primary and secondary
prevention. Skin cancers and precursors to skin cancer are relatively easy to treat if detected early
enough. Through helping leach people what they shoukl look for, raising awareness Ihrough public
campaigns," and providing information 011 prifflary and secondary prevention. the hope is that the

The David Paul Cross Foundalion also aims to mentor and advance community groups and charities
which directly tackle issues Ihat are causing political conflict- actively working towards an equitable and
peaceful society while promoting the sustainable development of urban and rural communilies. These

These Charity accounts has been prepared on a going concern basis. notwtthstanding the fact the
charity had nel current liabililies of £4,800 al the balance sheet date.
The directors are confident that fulure funding will be S￿ured and that the charity will continue to be
financially sustainable.
