PURPOSES

Tobermore Primary School PTA is run by a group of volunteer parents and staff to organise social events that develops and strengthens home-school relationships as well as occasionally raising funds to purchase educational resources for the children at Tobermore Primary School.

The PTA also supports the school by providing hospitality at school events and volunteering for roles in school such as gardening and after schools clubs.

PUBLIC BENEFITS

The benefits that flow from this purpose include the better understanding and general advancement of education, enhanced knowlegde and understanding of young people through receiving an education. The ultimate benefit is to see an increase in the activites provided for the children and in their learning capability. These benefits are evidenced through the children being able to avail of better facilities for the enhancement of their education and also through feedback from the public following events we have run.

BENEFICIARIES

The beneficiaries are primarily the children who attend the school and their families and the wider local community of Tobermore.

ACTIVITIES

During the year 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025, Tobermore Primary School PTA have organised and ran several fundraising events such as Breakfast with Santa in December 2023, Summer Fair and Duck Race in June 202 and also smaller fundraisers such as Smartie Tubes, Easter Chicks and a cash call.

These events were well supported by the parents and school community and enabled the PTA to raise the funds to support the school in various projects during that year such as School Prospectus and assistance with payment of the buses for the pupils trip to the Pantomime and Summer trip and provision of Ice Cream at school sports day in June 202.

FINANCIAL POSITION AT END OF YEAR: The organisation continues to operate for the local community.

There are no restrictions on who can benefit.

PUBLIC BENEFIT

. The direct benefits which flow from our purposes include funding of additional educational resources and contributions towards events provided for the pupils of Tobermore Primary School. This improves their educational experience and also benefits the parents provided assistance with funding to some events such as the Pantomime trip thus making it more affordable for families from all different social backgrounds. .

There is no private benefit to any individual.

No harm has flowed from any of our Purposes.
