Constitution and Governance Bloomfield Independent Methodist Church is a member of the Fellowship of Independent Methodist churches and was formed in Ottober 1980. The charity was registered with the Charity CommfS5ion for Northern Ireland on 17th October 2018. The church is governed by the Fellowship of Independent Methodist Churches Constitution. The charity Trustees who served during the year were: Rev E Moore (Minister in Charge) Rev. William Park Rev Raymond Moore 1.3. Public Benefit and Achievements The organisation continued to operate wlthin its Public Benefit statement throughout 2023. The Purpose of our church is to reach out to all people in Bloomfield and surrounding areas to advance the Christian faith. During the year we sought to accomplish this by providing services for fellowship, prayer, praise, and Bible teaching. All age groups are of interest to us therefore we had regular Sunday Services (morning and evening). Bible Study, and Prayer Meetings (each Wednesday) These services were open for anyone to attend and as a church, we sought to reach people outside of the Christian faith as well as nurturing those who profess it, through the preaching and teaching of the Word of God, as contained in the Bible. and throu8h pastoral support and visits.
We have a keen interest in the work of foreign missions and have had visitors from several missionary organizations to Share about their needs. The needs have been prayed for weekly and we have been able to encourage them by our financial support and prayerful interest. Throughout the year we distributed invitation5 to meetings, Christian literature, and calendars to homes in the surrounding area for benefit and encouragement. We also sought to support individuals who have found themselves in need, either at home, in the hospital, or through bereavement. 1.4. Financial Review Funds Bloomfield IMC has one unrestricted fund. There a no restrirted funds. The Fund was not In deficit at the end of the year. 2023 Overview Total receipts for 2023 were £11,560.28 compared to £10,550.74 for 2022. The increase was due to an increase in Sunday offerings and gifts reived. Total payments in 2023 were £20,220.08 compared to £28,621.89 in 2022. The decrease is because the contributions towards Pastor McFarland's salary came to an end in July 2023 when he resigned his office. 1.5. Trustees Statement The Trustees have regard to the Charity Commission for Northem Ireland Annual Reporting and Public Benefits requirement statutory guidance in the preparation of this report and during their business in the reporting period.
