OBJECTIVES AND ACTIVITIES
Organisation actlvitles
We hold services of worship each Lord's Day and a Bible Study and Praycr McetinR each week. Where available vic also
hold a Sunday School and Bible Class for tcenagcrs.
We provide a structured programnie of activities for primary school chbldren in weekly Biblc clubs and Summer Holiday
Bible Clubs for children from within the chijrch and outside it.
We seek to reach people oijtslde of the Chrlstlan falth as well as nurturing those who profess it, through the preaching
and teaching of the Word of God, as contained In the Bible, and through pastoral support and visits.
Where available we ruli a Mother and Toddler Group and a Children's Club.
Where available we host a website with information about us and our meetings together with downloadable sermons.
We hold special nieetings from time to time, to give a Christian perspective and for evangelistic purposes.
We hold missionary meetings and endedvor to support a number of missionaries and Missionary Societies both inside
and outside our denomination, and both within Northern Ireland and abroad. This support Is given through prayer,
encouragement, and flnancial aid. We dlstrlbute invitations to meetings and ChristSan literature to homes in the area of
benefit and the surrounding area. We may also seek to support Individuals who find themselves in need, either at home
or abroad.
We also provlde a structured programme for teenagers and young people both inside church premises and outside and
a varied programme of activities, both social and religious, for women from within and without the church fellowship.

There Is no harm flowing from our purpose. Our beneflclarles are the general public in and around the district where a
church Is located, visltors from further afield, and any who listen to servlces over the Internet, where that facblity IS
provlded. Our servlces and programmes are open to all sections of the community. The only private benefit flowing from
our purpose is related to the employment of our Ministers who receive benefits as a result of their employment.
However, this is incidental and necessary in order to further our charitable purpose, the advancement of religion.
FINANCIAL REVIEW
Flnanclal posltlon
Lisburn IMC has three funds, the General Fund (unrestricted), the Mlssionary Fund (restricted) and the Church Manse
Maintenance and Development Fund (restricted).
The Missionary fund is used to support missionaries, missionary organisations and mission trips as decided by the
Trustees. The Church Manse Maintenance and Development fund is used for Lisburn IMC property expenditure.
The receipts for 2022 were £113,207 compared to £81,880 for 2021. The increase was mainly due to increased donatlons
of £16,886 for the missionary fund, which included specific donations to the Ukraine support. In addition, financial
contributions were recelved from Bloomfield Independent Methodist Church and the Fellowship of Independent
Methodist Churches of £23,005 towards salary of assistant Pastor McFarland, compared with the contribution in 2021 of
£1,260.
Total payments In 2022 were £126,532 compared to £105,294 in 2021. The increase is mainly due to an increase in gifts
to missionaries, with specific gifts to Ukraine support.

Governing document
The church is governed by the Fellowship of Independent Methodist Churches Constitution. The Constitution was
reviewed, and the revised document was adopted at our annual members meeting on 26th March 2014.
