## **Introduction**

As we gather for our Annual Members Meeting, I am grateful for the opportunity to present the financial report for the year 2023. Throughout this year, the Lord has blessed our church, providing abundantly to meet all our needs. As we reflect on the financial highlights of 2023, we give thanks for His faithfulness and for the generous hearts of each member who continues to contribute to the work of our church.

## **Charity Commission NI Update**

As part of our compliance with the Charities Act 2022, which received Royal Assent on 24 February 2022, we will soon be required to publicly declare our income and expenditure for the first time. This is part of an ongoing eort to increase transparency and accountability for charities across Northern Ireland. Additionally, a public list of our Board Members will be published online, in accordance with the new legislation.

## **Missionary Giving**

This year, we have been able to continue our support for missionaries worldwide, and I am pleased to report that a total of £40,000 was given to support the work of missions in 2023. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to these eorts. Your generosity enables us to reach the lost around the globe, and this is an essential part of our mission as a church.

## **Danny and Philippa Brooks Missionary Fund**

- Income for 2023:** £15,823

- Expenditure for 2023:** £12,786

We continue to support Danny and Philippa in their missionary eorts, and we are thankful for the positive impact their work is having.

## **Envelope Giving and Breakdown of Contributions**

There were 107 individuals who contributed through the envelope giving system, an increase from the previous year (102). This consistent support has been a vital source of funding for the church's general operations and outreach.

Many of these contributions have been made through Gift Aid, which has allowed us to reclaim tax on donations, increasing the value of gifts at no extra cost to our donors. If you are not yet signed up for Gift Aid and pay tax, I encourage you to consider joining the scheme – please speak with me if you would like more information.

## **Additional Missionary Oerings**

These include:

- Mr. John Weir Ministries

- SGA / SGA Ukraine

- The Christian Institute

- Israel – International Mission to the Jewish People

These oerings represent a tangible expression of our church’s commitment to global outreach and our desire to support ministries that are making a dierence in the world.

## **Queries and Questions**

please do not hesitate to come and speak with me. I am happy to provide a full audit trail and walk you through the supporting documentation. It is important to me that we maintain transparency, and I am available to answer any queries you may have.
