To encourage research on the history of Cullybackey To foster an interest in the history and heritage of Cullybackey. To arrange and promote public lectures, meetings and other events in order to inform and stimulate interest and participation. To establish and ensure a source of information and archive which accommodates the upkeep of records ,artefacts and documentation. To record, preserve and interpret historical information based on personal experience. To assimilate the documentation of recent material for posterity and to inform the future To form sub or interest groups on specific topics of particular interest such as  e.g. music.
