KELLS AND CONNOR LUNCHEON CLUB TH 35 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING- 21" SEPTEMBER 2023 sec￿tary's Report for the period September 2022- June 2023 It gives me great pleasure to present my first Secretsry's report for the period September 2022 to June 2023. In total the Club met on 29 occasions throughout the year. On average 46 members were in attendance each week which reflects a decrease in previous year5. Based on these figures over 1,300 lunches were prepared during the session. After the quiet years, due to the pandemic, this last year has been busy for all. Thankfully we were able to meet together for lunch each week and this was made possible by the grants, donations and member's contributions obtained by our Treasurer. The Committee took great interest in agreeing how the finances could be best used for the members throughout the year. Christmas lunch was held on igh December 2022 and was another great success with 85 members and guests present. Iris Edgar again provided a map4ellous Christmas dinner. All the members went home well-fed clutching presents. th The Annual Church Service was held on 20 April 2023 in Connor Presbyterian Church led by the Reverend Philip Thompson. The offering rdised £250 which was sent to Hamsayeh International. th The King's Coronation was celebrated on 4 May. Paula providing the decordtions and Pearl a beautifully made crown. We were thankful for the grdnt from Mid and East Antrim Borough Council. th The next highlight was our Annual Outing on 15 June 2023. The first stop was at Coleman's Garden Centre for a scone and refreshments followed by ample time to shop. We moved onto The Halfway House Hotel for an excellent. The weather was sunny and warm with great scenic views on the road to Ballycastle. We again enjoyed scones and refreshments at The Marine Hotel, this was shortly followed with an Ice cream- not to be missed on a warm summer's day. This event ended our Luncheon Club year. The committee met xx times and different issues were discussed on the last meeting our Constitiution, Equal Opportunity Policy, General Risk Assessment and Adult's Safeguarding Policy were reviewed. No changes We￿ deemed necessary. This year we had a few new members join, taking our total to 62 members. New members are always welcome and it would be great to have any or the members friends and relatives join us. The years pass quickly and our aches and pains don't heal so fast. Some members have been ill and we all wish them well for the coming year and look forward to them joining us again soon. A number of our members sadly lost their battle with illness. We continue to remember them in our hearts.

We had a varied programme of entertainment throughout the year and we a￿ thankful to those who came along to educate, sing and exercise us. Lastly, we all would like to thank those ladies who give up their time to prepare the meals for us. It has become more difficult for us all with the rising cost of living and great credit goes to those ladies who enable the cost of our meals to remain the Same. This ladies and gentlemen concludes my report. Robert Bramley
