## **’ - Chairman s Annual Report 1[st] April 2022 to 31[st] March 2023**

This is my 20[th] Annual Report on the performance of the Prison Service Trust (PST) and I am pleased to announce that the Trust has had a successful year serving it’s clients despite the current cost of living crisis that has embroiled our entire community. To assist clients during this difficult time the Board of Directors decided to issue all clients who donate to the PST from their pension or directly from their bank accounts an ASDA voucher to assist them during the cost of living crisis. In tota,l the Board of Directors issued 258 vouchers to our clients.

As many of you are aware, the PST was established in 2002 and the Trust held it’s 20[th] Anniversary event in the Europa Hotel, Belfast, on the 29[th] October 2022. Clients and guests had a meal followed by entertainment from the fabulous CLUBSOUND which all of our clients and guests enjoyed.

The success of the Prison Service Trust (PST) over the past 20 years has been due to the dedication and commitment of the Board of Directors and all the volunteers who support the work of the Trust together with the Manager, Michelle. The Board of Directors would welcome any client who is willing to become a volunteer to help with the work of the Trust by contacting Michelle on 02890 649628 or by email michellepst@btconnect.com.

Finally, I would to thank the Northern Ireland Prison Service for the valuable contribution it makes to the Prison Service Trust each year, not forgetting the staff at Prison Service Headquarters whose co-operation is vital in the success of the Trust. To them I would like to say thank you.

Best wishes.
