for the financial year ended 31 August 2023
The trustees present their Trustees, Report and the unaudited financial ststemenls for the financial year ended 31
August 2023.
The financial statements are prepared in accordance ¥Mth FRS 102 Yhe Financial Reporting Stsndard applicable in
the UK and Republic of Ireland. and Accounting and Reporting by Ch8rib'es.' Statement of Recommended Practice
applicable to charities preparing their financial statements in accordance with the Financial Reporting Standard
applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland IFRS 1021.
The Trustees, Report contains the infOrMat￿n required to be provided in the Trustees. Annual Report under the
Statement of Recommended Pfactice ISORPI guidelines. The trustees of the charity are also charity trustees for the
purpose of charity law and under the charity's ¢¢￿stitutIon are known as members of the board of trustees.
In this report the trustees of Friends of Cabragh present a summary of tt5 purpose, govemance, activities,
achievements and finances for the ffinancial finanual year 31 August 2023.
Mission, Objectives and Strategy

Objectives and Activities
Friends of Cabragh are a group of volunteers who together to support the local pn'mary school of Si Marys
Cabragh and enhance the educational expenence of the children attending. The Charity support the k)cal school by
meeting with the principal to discuss if there are additional educatsonal voluntary support that the Charity can provide.
The Charity organise fundraising events to &nable them lo raise funds that are then used to purchase educational
resources or equipment for the children of Ihe school. The benefits will be demonstrated by assessing and evaluatsng
the outcome of activities provided by Fnends of Cabragh through quests'onaires and feedback from pupils, staff and
parents. There is no ham) arising from our purposes The beneficiaries aré the pupils, staff and families of St Marys
Cabragh Pnmary Scho￿. There is no private benefit from our purposes.
Financial Review
During the year ended 31 August 2023. Friends of Cabragh produced a surplus of £406. 12022.. £2,554).
At the end of the financial year the charity had assets of £3,958 (2022.. £3.5521 and liabilits'es of £0. 12022.. £01. 11 is
the policy of Friends of Cabragh lo retain a level to cover any unforeseen expenditure and allow the charity lo
contsnue in operation.
The trustees do not foresee any financial issues in the foreseeable fvture.

The Chariiy engages pro-actively with legislation. slandards and cc#Jes vthich a￿ developed for the sector. Friends of

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES. RESPONSIBILITIES
for the financial year ended 31 August 2023
The trustees are responsible for preparing the finanoal statements in a¢¢ordance with applicable law and regulations.
The law applicable to charities in NOrIt￿ Ifelan(I WeyUiTe5 Ihe ITUStee5 lo prepare flnanclal $￿tements for each
financial year which give a tnje and fair view of the assets, liabilibes and financial position of the charity as al the
financial year end dale and of the surp1￿% or deficit of the company and othewse compfy with the Charities Acl
{Northem Ireland) 2008.
In preparing these financial ststemenls, the trustees are required lo..

The trustees are responsible for keeping adequate accounting records that are sufficient to show and explain the
charity's transactions and disclose with ￿asOnable accuracy al any lime the financial position of the charity and
enable them lo ensure thal the financial statements comply with the Charities Act (Northem Ireland) 2008. They are
also responsible for safeguarding the assets of the charity and hence for takin9 reasonable steps for the prevention
and deleclion of fraud and other irregulariti8S.
