A summary of the Charivs main activities to further Its purposes for the publlc benefit and the
main achievements In the year
There were 20 girls in the unit. The unit held a number of outdoor events in the summer term of
2022. This included outdoor adventurous, walks, and outdoor games. The girls planned and
took part in a camp at Lorne Estate in August 2023. This included a range of outdoor pursuits
including rafting, canoeing, water adventure park, climbing and archery. From September 2023
to March 2024 the unit met weekly as normal. The girls participated in a wide range of activities
including cookery, crafts, tie-dying t shirts, roller disco, autumn wreath making and several
relaxation sessions. We had visits from Jurassic Ark, Ooms by Blooms flowers, and made bird
feeders which were donated to community areas. We enjoyed an overnight residential in
November 2023, taking part in pottery painting, indoor karting, bath bomb making and
Christmas shadowbox craft. In November 2023 the girls took part in a sponsored campfire to
raise money for Air Ambulance Nl and Northern Ireland Children's Cancer Unit. The girls took
part in indoor golf and a visit to Belfast Giants in March 2024. There was no harm flowing from
the Charities purposes and that there was no private benefit.

In planning the activities for the year the trustees of 5 Larne Ranger Unit (Senior Section Unit)
have had regard to the Commission's Public Benefit requirement statutory guidance. This
enables us to achieve our purposes and provide a benefit to the girls in the unit.
A review of the Charitvs financial position at the end of the year

The income for 5 Larne Ranger unit for the financial year ended 31 March 2024 was £3153.80.
The expenditure for the year was £2894.41
