I have examined the charlty accounts as required under sectlon 65 of the Charitles Act and my examinatlon
was ¢arrled out in accordance wlth the general Oirections glven by the Charity Commission for Northern
Ireland under section 6519llbl of the Charlties Act. The examination Included a review of the accountin8
records kept by the charlty and a comparison of the accounts presented wlth those records. It also Included
consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts and seekln8 explanations from you as charity
trustees concernlng any such matters.

Strutturei governance, and management
Creating Help In Local Di5trlrts, t/a CHILD Training Academy, Is a charitable company Ilmlted by guarantee and
does not have a share capital. It IS governed by a Memorandum and Articles of Association and the liabilbty of
each member is limited to an amount not exceedlng £1. The charitable company whlch is governed by a board
of Oirectors, which drlves the strategic direttion of the charitable company and carrles Out the day-tO￿aY
mana8ement with the assistance of onslte volunteers.
Trustees
The trustees who are also directors of the charitable company as at 31 Au8USt 2024 and have been members
for the whole year ended, unless otherwise noted our outlined on page l.
The appointment of Trustees/Directors is laid out in the constitution of the charltable company. The board of
Dlrectors meet at least four tlmes per year. Upon election each trustee is introduced to the le8al and
operatlonal aspects of the charitable company to ensure they have an understandin8 of the nature of the
charity trusteeshipi the responsibilities and the dutles that go with this posltlon and to see the role of a
Trustee in action.
Statement of Trustses, responslbllities in respect of the financlal ststements.
The trustees Iwho are also the Directors of Creatln8 Help In Local Distrlcts for the purposes of cornpany lawl
are responsible for preparin8 the Annual report in accordance wlth applicable law and regulation.
Company law requires the trustees to prepare annual starements for each financlal year. Under that law the
Trustees have prepared flnancial statements In accordance with United Kln8dom Accountin8 Standards,
comprlsln8 FRS 102 ' The Financial Reportln8 Standard applicable in the United Kingdom and Republic of
Ireland" and applicable law (United Kin8dom Generally Accepted Accountin8 Practice). Under company law
the Trustees must not approve the financial statements unless they are satlsfled, they give a true and fair vlew
of the state of the affairs of the charitable company and of the incomln8 resources and appllcation of
resources, including the Income and expendlture, of the charitable company for that perlod. In preparin8 these
finèncial statements, the Trustees are requlred to:

Our Charity, Creating Help In Local Districts Tla CH.I.L.D Trainin8 Academy, Is our sports training academy
based in Belfast Clty Centre, whlch has become a centrally shared hub where youth 8roups and community
or8anisations can vmrk togethèr wlth young people to improve and develop thelr health, fltness, $ocial and
mental well-being.
Our life skills centre Is dedicated to providin8 youn8 people of all abllltles wlth the opportunities to grow
personally and professlonally. We offer a wlde range of courses whlch not only focus on physlcal well-being
but employablllty skills and mental health. Our dedicated coaches have worked wlth a wlde ran8e of 8roups to
develop tailor-made pro8rammes.

Impact 2023-2024
During this period, our number of attendances grew past prelOVID levels wlth an average of 2SO attendances
per week. Even wlth this 8rowth. in numbers, due to a lack of core fundin8, our charlty remained a volunteer-
led and volunteer-run organisatlon
Durlng thls period. our finances were Supported by the Department of Communltles, Job Start Programme,
which enabled us to employ our first part-time staff member and a £5000 support donation from the Ken
Roulston Foundatlon.
We successfully dellvered funded programmes by the Education Authority, the TBUC Programme, and the
West Belfast GP Partnership. Our Community Health Awareness & Motivation Pro8ramme ICHAMPI, and The
Communlty Foundatlon for Northern Ireland ISCIPI, our Self Care InteNention Programme
Our core users all came from challen8ln8 backBrounds. Learnin8 or physlcal dlsabilltles, homeless young
peoplei youn8 people in carei young offenders, and youn8 people not in employment or education
