In April 2022 the unit continued to meet weekly and enjoy outdoor events including a beath evenin& walk along the local promenade for ice cream and a BBQ. In May the unit held their first residential since COVID. It was greatly enjoyed and the gir15 loved being back on overnight experiences. In June, 24 gids attended a weekend camp at Lorne Estate with other Brownies from all over Ulster. The weekend was filled with challenges and outdoor pursuits which the girls thoroughly enjoyed. In June the unit had a bushcraft evening at Lome estate. In August the unit held their own residential weekend at Lorne Estate. 28 girls spent two days enjoying climbin& archery, abseilin& canoeing, kay3kin& crafts and campfires. At the end of August 38 girls took part in a session of Stand Up paddleboarding in Carrickfergus marina. Weekly meetings resumed in September 2022. The girls enjoyed learning First Aid. music and drama, self-esteem and mindfulness activitie5, cooking. fused glass art. water rnarbling on paper. and several other craft activities. We held an ovemight residential in Ortober 2023 and visited clip and climb. bowlin& Indiana land and learnt some circus ski115. At Christmas the girls attended the 'Find the Eif event at Lorne Estate and made 8ifts for residents in a local nursing home. In january 2023 the girls visited W5. and enjoyed fun evenings themes around Jelly Babies and Campfires. In February and March 2023 the girls attended tsvo outdoor activity days at Lorne estate. They enjoyed an overnight stsy in Lorne House and learnt how to plant herbs, design a garden and make muffins. ther the year all the girls gained several badges including sknll builder badges and interest badges in painting. gardening and mindfulness. There was no ham flowing from the Charities purposes and that there was no private benefit. This enables us to achieve our purposes and provide a benefit to the 8irls in the unit.
