1st Ballykelly Rainbows - Annual Report - 2024-2025

We started this year with 10 girls recorded on GO. Two of these girls were transferred from Roeside Rainbows, however they never attended 1% Ballykelly Rainbow unit. We had attendance of at least 8 girls from Sept to Dec 2024 and 6 girls from Jan to Jun 2025, not always the same girls. We also had one girl move from Brownies back to Rainbows due to learning challenges.

We took several girls to see a Pantomime in December and the Teddy Take Over in November and several girls and took part in the Christmas parade through Limavady at the end of November.

During this year (Sept 24-June 25), having done the relevant tasks several girls were awarded - the Ocean Challenge badge (Scotland), the Earth Day badge, the World Thinking Day badge, the Lorne walk (alternate) badge and the Fundraising badge.

This year we concentrated on Skills for My Future and Take Action themes, several girls were awarded the Recycling Interest Badge (IB), the Animal Lover IB, and also the Book Lover IB, also the following Skills Builder badges, Reflect, Influence, Live Smart. For some of these most of the work had been in the 20232024 Rainbow year, just some catch-up was completed. One theme award was given to three girls, two theme awards were given to four girls, three girls were then awarded a Bronze Award and one girl was awarded not only a Silver award but also her Gold Award as she had finally completed all 6 theme awards and had done the three parts of the Gold award.

This concludes the annual report for 1% Ballykelly Rainbows 2024-2025
