Objectives and Activities
Omagh Men’s Shed worked to achieve the aspiration set out in their Constitution
“To promote social inclusion for the public benefit by preventing people, particularly but not exclusively men aged 30 or over , from becoming socially excluded by ant charitable means but in particular by:
Assisting them to integrate into society through the provision of facilities in which they may meet to undertake creative, physical or recreational activities, learn or pass on skills and knowledge and support each other socially. “
Achievements and Performance
The year 01/04/2022 to 31/03/2023 was a busy year for the organisation. In the aftermath of Covid 19 the group resumed normal activities.
Gardening activities were extended with the new Polytunnel allowing members to grow more and extend the growing season. Members enjoyed outings to Cavan Museum and best practice visits to other Men’s Shed facilities. Omagh Men’s Shed continued their support partnerships with other local charities and schools. Members continued to enjoy the support and social interaction provided by the Shed as well as learning new skills. Woodwork and gardening continued to be the main activities undertaken by the members.
