Stevenson Community Projects --- Trustees Report --- January 2024.

Stevenson Community Projects was reconvened in January 2023 following a period of inactivity due to the Corona Virus, Covid 19, Pandemic.

Seven committee meeting were held during the year when several community related projects were discussed as to their suitability to our cause, with emphasis on youth, disabled and the elderly, within our community. The committee was boosted during the year by three new members. However, we had one retiree.

A stand-alone solar powered defibrillator, located adjacent to an extensive housing development with an aging population, was identified as a worthy project.

Funding was applied for this project through the National Lottery Community Fund and thankfully we were successful. Work to install this life saving apparatus will commence this spring.

The funds of Stevenson Community Projects were boosted during the year with a generous private donation. It is specifically for use by the disabled/youth with our community.

It is encouraging to note that the Over 65 fitness class, one of our first projects, continues to flourish not only for physical health but also mental wellbeing.

The AGM was held in January 2024.
