We are a cross communlty group providing education to children 2 years 10 months/ 4 years. In recent years we have welcomed children from different ethnic backgrounds who have settled in our area. Maln activities durln the ear We provide a safe calm and carin8 environment so that children and staff can learn and work together. Maln achievements in the ear We provide a high standard of care and education as reflected in Social Serrfices Annual Inspection carried out on 17 November 2022. An inspection was carried out in November 2022 both reports showed the capacity to identify and bring about improvement in the interests of our learners. We aim to continue to provide a much-needed service in our area. Financial Situation We are funded as a PEAG Group by the Education Authority but we have experienced a drop- off in birth rate in our area. To help compensate this we are offering children a place from the age of 2years Iomonths as a part- time place. This year we are also operating without Sure Start South Armagh due to the drop-in birth rate in our area. Regarding our four members of staff one is currently employed as a one to one SEN support worker.
Throughout the year we are supported by an Early Years Specialist. Trustees Committee Members At our AGM each year we elect a Management Committee Supported by committee members made up from the parents. Sandra McNiece a Trustee and part of the management committee liaises with the staff regularly to ensure continued running of the pre-school supported by Marie Gorman also Trustee and Registered Person who signs off Polices etc. The full committee meets once a term unless matters arise requiring action.
